  • The England squad will be announced on Sunday so I would assume that would apply to the other nations.
  • Northern Ireland squad to be announced on Wednesday, so we will know about Josh Magennis
  • Morgan Fox and Andrews Crofts havent been called up by Wales
  • Morgan Fox and Andrews Crofts havent been called up by Wales

Have to wait til Sunday to see if Rudd, Solly, Johnson, Lennon, Jackson, Holmes, Ajose, Lookman and Novak get the call though.

Bauer, Teixeira, Foley, Ba and Botaka also waiting

Seriously, how the fuck can third tier football be affected by international call ups? Imagine if they did it with the African cup of nations, no-one would play football for that whole period. If it means Botaka isn't on the bench for a game and KAG and Hanlan are both in it instead, then fine
  • Roger Johnson, Solly and Konsa called up by England, as Big Sam's first England squad contains 3 keepers and 20 defenders

  • Yeah Josh Magennis has been called up by Northern Ireland... No surprise there really

KAG and Hanlan may not be with us by then.

No England under 19 games, so Lookman will be with us. Whoops forgot he is in the under 20 squad now

Kennedy and Umerah then, or Aribo and Yamfam, who cares? Point is, clubs in the third division should just get on with it, it's not like we will have 15 players called up

  • Match has been postponed, Lookman in England U20s
  • Wonder if scunny are happy with this?
What happens if we sell lookman by then- presumably we have to play the game?
  • The FA have said the U20s match vs Brazil will be on BT Sport KO 2:30 on Sunday 4th.
  • Now that the game has been called off is anybody interested in going to a non-league game in the area?

Goole v Bamber Bridge in the Evo Stik is on.

Goole is on the way to Scunthorpe so tickets will be valid for this journey. This is one way of salvaging something from the tickets and anybody who has not been to a non-league game before may enjoy the amateur game.
  • Presumably the game has been post-poned not cancelled!
  • sneaky piece of business by Slade to recruit Botaka - means we now have 3 players who are likely to be called up & so we can call off games, whereas it would have meant playing games withiut 2 of our better players (Lookie & Maginnies)
  • Guess this also means that Millwall and Swindon could be postponed then?
  • Guess this also means that Millwall and Swindon could be postponed then?

Good point, but with Swindon game on sky i wonder if we can
  • millwall midweek would be a headache, hopefully swindon doesnt get moved as will be nursing a hangover from watching us stuff the jocks at wembley, so will be welcomed lunchtime viewing.

At the moment there isnt actually any other U20 fixtures after the 3rd September

Northern Ireland though will be playing prior to Millwall and Swindon... Whilst who knows what'll happen with the DR Congo and their fixtures... So am guessing that these two games will go ahead because it'll only be Magennis absent.

Millwall on the other hand may only lose Shaun Cummings (Jamaica) and Shane Ferguson (Nothern Ireland) prior to our match so dont expect that one to be postponed whilst Swindon will only lose Yaser Kasim (Iraq) to International Duty prior to our game

VERY doubtful... Fox has yet to play for the First-Team whilst Crofts last made an appearance in 2014.

Crofts is a good player but the Welsh Midfield would surely have to be screwed for him to be called up now

Cheers... To be honest I didnt search for their fixtures as remember trying to find information about an Angolan match to see if Vetokele played once and it would have been easier and quicker for me to fly out there and just ask him!!

Just as well we've got plenty of depth in the squad to cope with these absences.

I think all clubs should get on with it... Man City and Man Utd included should play who is left available

    Would make the Leagues interesting

I'm sure it's what they do in cricket, I'm not sure about rugby though, any egg chasers know?
