  • Very odd appointment. I can see them going out of the league now.
They were in freefall so likely to happen anyway, might as well take a punt

They're recent results were hardly that bad. The sort of managerial sacking and appointment of an owner who doesn't know what he wants for the club.

1 win in 7  and only 3 points above the relegation zone isn't good enough for a club of that size when there are much smaller clubs doing much much better in the league
  • Swindon is a railway town so us Addicks need them to stay in the league. Lost Darlington which was a bitter blow.  :)
  • New opening at Man Utd.

    Any takers?
  • Surprised they actually did it. Sounds like the backroom staff are staying on which is never a good look for a PL manager

Manchester United has appointed Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy as assistant managers of the men’s first team, to work under Erik ten Hag until June 2026.

Reckon Ruud is there as the caretaker option when Ten Hag starts the season badly?
     Good call…
  • Should we be worried ?   Is Nathan Jones on their radar ?

About bloody time he can return home now and be forgotten for ever.
  • I can see Brentford manager Thomas Frank going there . Would be a good appointment

    Eddie Howe?

I don’t think that will happen as Newcastle are already angry with United about headhunting Dan Ashcroft , their Sporting Director in the summer .
  • Can’t see anyone other than Brentford manager coming in.
  • Sounds like they want Amorim but he's reluctant to leave mid season
  • Xavi being mentioned
  • Xavi being mentioned
The biggest issue with him is he doesn’t speak English .
  • Sure Man U can still afford a translator
  • Appleton can be upgraded, he's on the books.

Can't believe Ten Hag is gone. He was doing a great job and should have been given more time

Beating Man City in the FA cup final helped him keep his job initially and apparently Ten hag took 1 more point than Ferguson did in the same amount of games.

Man United were a Global football team even before social media and they need to be a top 4 team and contenders.

Tough gig but well paid Job for the next incumbent.

RVN will put himself in the shop window for a decent managers job even though unlikely to be United as every loss is a "disaster" as Ex United players go on about ad nauseam on various TV and social media platforms.
