Bloomfield is another example of why you should give managers time. They had 1 win in 17 and were just above the drop at one point last season, the fans that were calling for his head probably look a bit silly now
He's done a decent job at Wycombe so is going to be in demand.
On another note there is 5 minute a video doing the rounds of the new guy at Plymouth. I have to say.....I'd never heard of him until a few days ago but that is one hell of a first impression on his players! One of the first replies says "I support Leeds, couldn’t give 2 fucks about Plymouth but after this 4:41 video I’ve come across of a bloke I’d never heard of 5 minutes ago, I’ve just ran through a brick wall, ended homelessness and achieved world peace.

The Town board have complied with all compensation requests from Wycombe Wanderers to bring the 40-year-old to Kenilworth Road, along with his assistant Richard Thomas, first team coach Lee Harrison and senior analyst Ben Cirne.
Charlton academy keeper, never played for us though.
Despite Wycombe Wanderers having an off day at the Valley, Matt Bloomfield was having a great season at WW where he played 488 games after being released from Ipswich academy and where he spent 22 years, bar 1 year at Colchester in 22/23 before getting the gaffer's gig at Wycombe.
I've had inside info on this (not from a newspaper)but frustrating when 🤐 is attached to the ITK text 😤
MB struck while the iron was hot as not convinced Richard Kone will still be at WW by Feb 1st and Bloomfield goes to Luton with them in a lowly position so if they finish around mid table he will have had a good start to his hatters career.
If Wycombe are so rich, as detailed in this thread, how come Luton can pinch their manager.
Luton are a championship club who were in the premier league a year ago. Wycombe have had one year in the championship in their history
say Wycombe go up and as a player you had a choice Wycombe or Luton, who would you chose? Obviously the player should be looking to sack his agent and get a new one if they were the only options!!!!
Crazy... Apart from a six month spell as Manager of Colchester in 2022; Bloomfield has been with Wycombe in some capacity for 20-years
Not sure how true it is but someone on Twitter was saying that Saturday will be the first Wycombe game since 2003 that doesn't involve Ainsworth or Bloomfield. Mental stat if true

Sounds about right as Bloomfield lasted longer than Ainsworth as a player at Wycombe - When Gareth retired he became Wycombe Manager, and then when he moved to QPR; Bloomfield replaced him as a Manager

The only thing missing from that speech was "Cry God for Harry, England and St George!" or "We will fight them on the beaches ..."
And to do that in probably his third or fourth language without faltering (and a suitable grasp of naughty words that were silenced in the video!) is mightily impressive.
I hope for Argyle's sake he backs up those words with good coaching and leadership in the second half of the season and keeps them up.

In the 23 and a half years between November 1982 and May 2006 we had either Lennie Lawrence (1982-1991) or Alan Curbishley (1991-2006) in charge with Curbs a player in two spells too during that time. In the 19 years since he left, not including the likes of Keith Peacock, Damien Matthew or Kevin Nugent, we've had 19 different managers.

Football League World ITK confirmed.
Although, it is weird that I broke the news that FLW broke the news, and we know that Pete O'Rourke checks CL, makes ya think

Also if this was to happen that (potential) cup draw seems more appealing!

Has Bloomfield been successful at WW because he knows the club inside out?
Good luck to him.
Tony Mowbray set to return to West Brom as manager.
Lucky, but then again this is the Saudi Pro League, only 6 points of relegation.
Ole's at the wheel... at Besiktas.
