10 out of 10 chaps, it couldn't have been better. He can't have been kept abreast of the group's well publicised plans, can he? Somebody's got to cop it for that haven't they? If he plonked himself down in the restaurant window and knew this lot would be in town he has the hide of a rhino. If that was Mrs D seated next to him, he'll have got a left earful, she looked horrified. She'll be pointing out at length that she has to live in that town too and would like to be able to have lunch without being the local laughing stock. I wonder whether that level of public humiliation stacks up alongside "1.5% of my business interests". Gaviscon anybody?
In stark contrast, I lunched last month at a table adjacent to where West Ham's co-chairman was lunching with his wife, (retail successful) daughter and other family members. He and his regime may not be hugely popular with all hammers fans but his meal wasn't garnished with bitter humiliation or a serving of ridicule.
I'll be tuning in again later for an update on today's events.
Brilliant job by the Belgian20 & the 2Percent!! Well done guys.
The Valley protests are important for moral & to pressure Katrien. However imo humiliating him in his home town among his peers is the way forward. It takes him out of his comfort zone. I understand he is quoted to be upset!
Would love to see his reaction, getting home & finding the whole town's been leafleted - brilliant. He will not like that one bit.
So glad you kept it non confrontational so Katrien cant play the victim card. Suspect the Belgian20/2percent might have contacts in St Truiden close to Duchatelet - employees?
I bet 2sheds will keep the Gaviscon tablets handy for future restaurant visits (sorry repeating the above post). So today card and the Taxi are driving around his town, not your weekend huh Roly?
Fantastic work by all involved, The 2 Percent and CARD.
Sadly, any protests at The Valley, as good as they have been, are easy for him to ignore or be dismissed by Katrien Meire. Humiliating both of them in their homeland really is the only way forward and in my opinion is the quickest route to forcing them out of our club.
It's simply not an either or thing. You wouldn't have this action in Belgium and the impact it's had without the corresponding and complimentary action at The Valley over the past year.

Agreed.
Protests both in Belgium and at The Valley get media exposure all over the world, raising public awareness.
This man was the owner of CAFC when my Dad turned 70. As a fan his entire life I asked the club to give him a half time birthday shout out and they ignored the request and refused to do it despite the fact he was a season ticket holder at the time. Didn't exactly ruin his birthday but just in case anyone felt any sympathy for RD that is the way his club treats other people on their 70th.
Fantastic work. And from me, good to keep legal. He and KM like whining to the press so nice to keep onside. A dark part of me would have been even happier if the group had gone face to face in the restaurant, but the reality is they did hugely well with their actual actions. Hats off to all involved.
What a birthday weekend for Roly ! - firstly 5000 leaflets distributed to residents in his home town telling them what a failure he is , then having Happy Birthday sung to him by a load of blokes with Roland Out scarves around their faces - now to further rub it in 2000 more leaflets distributed with a London Taxi dedicated to him !!! Well done to everyone on this coordinated effort. A brilliant production.

I posted the video link onto STVV forum, asking if they knew who the bloke was with Duchatelet, the first response being...
Does anyone know who the man is having lunch with Duchatelet ?
PS our manager got sacked tonight. !
..............
First of all congratulations on your brilliant actions against RD! A lot of STVV-fans could learn from you guys but I have no idea who that man is, only know his wife was sitting next to him. I really hope for you guys that Chris O'Loughlin doesn't become your next manager..

Katrien misheard.
Would love to be a fly on the wall with the conversation he is having now with Katrien.
