The thing that gets about all these people have they no sense of shame?
Sit your grandchild on your knee in years to come and regale them with tales of how you helped fuck over a community and their football club.
    For what? Chasing the money?
How about being part of something constructive and positive instead of divisive and stupid?
    Way to go future grandad....

I wouldn't underestimate people's ability to persuade themselves black is white and vice versa. We're all guilty of confirmation bias, I think.
  • Is he in secondment or has he left pitch?

Not that sure I can wish good luck to someone who knows what he is coming in to, and whose main role will be to peddle the SMT's lies and to try to denigrate those opposing the regime.

Wouldn't wish him good luck as i couldn't really care less but i'd assume he's been offered more money to come to us so can't blame him for accepting the role.
  • I keep thinking it must be a secondment.

I don't welcome him in any case and certainly wouldn't go out of my way to hear him speak.

I wonder how Pitch PR took that as well, I mean the club poaching staff like that cannot sit too well with Pitch

I did wonder that. Not the done thing to poach consultant staff like that but Cahones was working with Deleware and that turned out well.
It could be the old Ocado/Waitrose trick.

Same thing under a different name.

Is this another CARD exclusive? Can't see it having been announced anywhere.

The lack of official announcements from the club on anything other than how to buy tickets for the next match (as if they are in short supply) is all part of the new era of better communication. Katrien said so.

True, but it is hard not to have your confirmation biased into a small cube by this lot! Because so much of what they do is so ill thought out and so arrogantly delivered.
And whilst it might well be incompetency rather than the work of Satan, the end result is looking likely to be depressingly similar.
People have to earn a living, but I think there is enough evidence out there to suggest that this might be something to steer well clear of, as this does not look like turning round for the better any time soon.

Question is does he still work for Pitch & is a secondment or employed on an agency basis i.e. Pitch hold the contract & Charlton are paying Pitch rather than this new guy directly ?
  • Where's his audience? There aren't many people to communicate with.

How bad must working for pitch be to contemplate working for this inept lot?

Or how useless must he be that pitch let him go and all he can get is a job with Charlton?
  • Another question is will the new Head of Comms continue with the lies, spin & try to maintain the Duchatelet / Meire narrative as the dominant one ? The bullshit statement to London Sport yesterday was not a good start / indicator for the future.

The problem Pitch / New head of comms will experience is the dictate that comes from Duchatelet that will undermine any coherent strategy they may try to follow. This is to say nothing of the terrible misrunning of the club that undermines any progress on the playing field.
  • There's a joke in that name somewhere...
  • There's a joke in that name somewhere...

Sounds like an exhibition for prostitutes who specialise in latex fetishism.
  • IMO there is too much water under the bridge & too many mistakes that Duchatelet & Meire have made. The Duchatelet Talk Sport quote about some bitter ex employees & a few supporters shows how far away from reality Duchatelet is. Duchatelet & Meire have not changed or will change or accept accountability for any specific mistakes or that the overall strategy is fatally flawed. It will end up as more of shifting the blame onto supporters.

Things are rotten at the top of the club, a bit of PITCH sugar is not going to change that.
  • Sweepstake on how long he will be in post. Profit to the fund.

  • Final question for the new head of comms is are they prepared to list the 34 or 35 separate supporter engagements that they talked about in the last radio London statement ?
  • Second question is why did yesterday's statement talk about "investment" of £33m when the previous one spoke of £38m?

They just got the first £5m down payment for Lookman;s transfer in January.

  • Third question and on are all the questions put by BBC London that the statement completely swerved.

    You're turning into Yoda

  • There's a joke in that name somewhere...

He could have worked on Spitting Image.

Third question and on are all the questions put by BBC London that the statement completely swerved.

The regime seem to think that a £33m/£38m investment excuses all that has happened. If only investment was the same thing as success and good management.
  • I wonder how many Division 1 clubs have a full time Head of Communications in a fairly senior position?
I suspect his number one priority is to front the "war" against supporters.
  • Are we sure that Tom is new Head of Comms?

    http://www.oldthorntoniansfc.com/player/tom-rubashow/

Seems he is or was a defender with Old Thorntonians 6ths.
Maybe we'll see him play after the January window opens, perhaps he's new new Rhys Williams.

Looking at him, I'd say it is more likely to be Work Experience!
