For anyone that doubted the appointment of Karl Robinson......

The determination of some people to be miserable is quite staggering.
I'll take the word of people who've seen us play under Robinson over any sort of kneejerk declamation.
This Saturday will be 73894279482x more informative about what sort of team we're going to be under KR.4 -

He's used Roger Johnson1

I've seen us play under Roland's ownership and Katrien's management quite enough, thanks.Leuth said:The determination of some people to be miserable is quite staggering.

I know a lot of this is in jest and showing up how silly the opening post was but ....
Just as you can't judge him on two games you can't judge him on three.5 -
As long as he wins next Wednesday.0

What about 4 games ?Henry Irving said:I know a lot of this is in jest and showing up how silly the opening post was but ....

Roland's steered the good ship Charlton into an iceberg and Leuth is getting bent out of shape because some people are not optimistic with our prospects under the fifth or six officer that Roland's ordered to rearrange the deck chairs.12

I won't be judging him just yet. That was pretty much a B team tonight, with no Rudd, Solly, Fox Pearce, Bauer, Holmes, Magennis etc. The commentary suggested we played well and should have scored more and it's natural that kids and a squad hit by illness will tire. What I'm worried about is Saturday. Then Millwall. If we get most of our team back to fitness for those two and then MK Dons again on Boxing Day we'll know where we stand and be able to judge if he's a decent manager or just a scouse Alan Pardew.3

Far too early for this.
We do,unfortunately, have to give the fella a chance.

Agreed, but after two 0-0s we were apparently witnessing a new golden era to rival the 30s, so it's hardly surprising.carly burn said:Far too early for this.

Let's call these results as they are- not good enough. He needs a lot more time obviously but don't know why people are falling over themselves to defend him. Win Saturday and he's a lot stronger but a few more iffy results and it looks pretty poor.2

3 draws if your Mourinho!guinnessaddick said:
I've said it before, he managed a team that finished below us last season. That tells me enough.Weegie Addick said:Two draws and a defeat. So far, so good?

Would you have taken 0-0 at Bradford before kick off? I would. Throw in we hit the woodwork twice, had a clear penalty denied and should probably have won on balance. As you say let's see how it goes.cafc_harry said:Let's call these results as they are- not good enough. And we'll ( probably) be without Rudd, Solly, Pearce and Holmes on Saturday and possibly next Weds.CroydonAddick1 said:I won't be judging him just yet. Injuries and illness happen......and heaven forbid if Dillon succumbs to either.
With players out on loan for the season that could have bolstered a thin squad at times like this, KR will inevitably be forced to play more of the young guns...
.....and we know what happens when they're played too often /too long at this early stage in their careers.
Isn't KAG a pertinent example ?
But, of course, this was RD's plan from the start , wasn't it ?9 -
agree he's hard to dislike a very positive perks and he's clearly happy to be here. But his lookman comments and couple of other things he's said just think he's meires mouthpiece. She's hardly been seen yet he's doing all the talking . Happy to be wrongraytreacy69 said:Just take a listen to his post match press conferenc at Bradford. The guy is just brimming with confidence and a passion for our club we should all be Proud of .Despite lacking 5or 6 players and playing with some who were obviously not 100% we nearly beat a team unbeaten at home this season. He set his team up to win the game -no disrespect to Slade but he would have played for a draw.I really hope that this could be the start of anew beginning and would ask all of you who have boycotted the club this season to come back to the Valley next week and get right behind the team. They Deserve your support.COYR

People are defending him because we desperately need stability and he is what we've got. Chopping and changing managers is just not good. Get behind the team (and manager) not the regime.cafc_harry said:Let's call these results as they are- not good enough. Whilst I agree with you, I wonder what's the point. I mean it wont be long til he's gone and we'll be getting behind some other mug. When does it all stop?Rob said:

Can't blame Karl Robinson for anything that's happened so far, it's not his team and maybe it never will be.
He's at least playing more attacking football than Slade with the players we have.
I'd rather we kept Robinson as he seems like a decent manager rather than wishing he gets sacked so we can have some more press.4 -
You said attacking manager but we would have had 3 1-1 draws under Slade.SELR_addicks said:Can't blame Karl Robinson for anything that's happened so far, it's not his team and maybe it never will be.
