Does sound like Robinson is slowly getting into his stride and once the first win comes a few more will follow
This is the issue changing Manager every six to seven months though as three / four games get wasted whilst the new man gets his ideas across to the rest of the team etc.
Way to early to judge him and he has to be given a decent chance. We really won't know enough until he has 10-12 games under his belt. He seems to be more impressive than most of his post-Powell predecessors.
That said, I still think he is willing to be used as a Duchatalet-Meire mouthpiece, but again that may change with time.
I don't particularly like Robinson as a man, came across as a bell end at MK Dons but I've said before, he could turn out to be one of those people in football you only like when he's on your side.
He's only really had one real fixture of major importance so far, a decent performance in a 0-0 away at a side pushing for promotion. Last night may as well been a checkatrade trophy game it was that interesting a fixture.
If we win on Saturday the tide will turn again in his favour on this site and social media. I'm gonna wait until the end of Jan before I make my mind up on him as a Charlton man. Unless we beat Millwall Wednesday and he will be forever in my heart.
Interesting listening to their commentary the guys said it was a typical Robinson team, (as in when he was recently managing MK) lots of the ball, lots of trying to attack but normally end up loosing.
I agree we have to give him chance, but he is not the REAL problem.
Seem to remember Luzon being a positive energetic manager but that didn't work out, so probably worth focusing on the results. Too early to say yet but 2 draws and a loss isn't exactly messiah territory. Lets not write him off but you'd have to be properly thick to look at the three games and say we've turned a corner.
I never doubted his appointment. One day he was just there, all chipper and excited. I was/am just indifferent. Until Duchatelet goes there's impending failure just imprinted on the club. If the team do well, he'll sell the better players. If they do badly, he'll sell the better players. And the cycle of failure will just go on.
January is the key as to whether Robinson can make this work. Assuming he's trying to watch as many of the players in action as possible, he ought to know soon where we need strengthening and who he is happy to release. So we should know from signings and releases if he's got what he needs, but ignore what he says as he's like an eager puppy in his support of the regime .

Listened to the local radio doing the pre match review and although appreciative about KR's time, were saying how KR had no Plan B, and only played with one striker who never got enough ball.
I did an interview with Josh Magennis last week for The Sunday Life in Belfast and he said the players are really fired up for Millwall. They know what it means to the fans and maybe Robinson's the kind of manager too who won't get intimidated by going there and that'll rub off on the players. Most of the interview was about Northern Ireland and he even said that during the recent internationals him and Shane Ferguson were talking about the Millwall game.

As manager for 6 years at MK Dons, didn't I read that they'd scored 100 goals for 2 of those seasons?

He's only been in the job a fortnight.
Not many people would publicly bad mouth their new employers straightaway.

Agree it's too early: let's check where we are after he's had 8 games.....by which time the trading in the January sales will also tell us a thing or two.

Well, they got 101 during their promotion season and 84 in 2011-2012 the rest of the league one campaigns they averaged 64 per season. They scored only 39 last season in the Championship, one less than we scored.
It's a far cry from when Curbs and Gritty and then just Curbs was given years to get it right! Good luck with us fickle fans Robbo!
Why the hell should he need "luck" with the fans? It was Murray who gave Curbs years to get it right and it will be Duchatelet that decides Robinson's fate. It should be pretty obvious that what fans think means fuck all, particularly right now at Charlton
I'm indifferent to KR. I want him and the team to do well but it's very hard to build up any sort of affection or support for a manager when history tells you that they'll only be here for a few months before they are sent on their way.

Pretty much how I feel. I'm guessing Roland's itchy trigger finger is already poised after 3 games without a win.
Has just given a very frank and refreshing interview on radio London - quite liked it and given how much dishonesty we've had, good to hear an honest voice coming from an official channel
To paraphrase - said he can't mask today's poor performance, just said we weren't good enough and it's not acceptable. Thought we were okay for first 15mins of each half but not enough etc
He may well turn out to be great for the club, I sincerely hope he does, but to suggest this is a new beginning (with the context of Duchatelet's ownership) is fanciful to the extreme.
Plenty yet to be established before we should accept the management of the club.
- Duchatelet remains the owner - Duchatelet continues to meddle in team affairs - The incompetent Katrien Meire remains the CEO - Thomas Driesen's inolvement continues - The club continue to believe that the issues remain elsewhere and that it is a small group of ringleaders shouting for a non-existent majority. As proved by the quite frankly ridiculous investment in PR and communications.
For me, the change is minimal and I continue to find the situation depressing, despite what Karl Robinson says in a post-match interview.
The boycotters are perfectly justified.
FFS - Would you be happy if we had lost - Just no pleasing some people!
Do you not think it's a little unrealistic to ask 4,000 people to reverse their position after two goalless draws? At least let's win the cup replay first!
No not unrealistic - but just trying ask to ask the better-nature of some of our fans to give him a chance and come and support the team.I really don't think that is asking to much.
Given him a chance, not good enough. We were on a roll before he arrived.

( not saying which sides going to win 5-1!)
Can't blame him for Slade buying Crofts or Ajose.
