  • Finance Director for a couple of hotels and Irish pub at the base of the ski hill in Whistler, Canada.

Anyone boarding or skiing this year? Could do a lot worse than come here. Already got 40 cm's of snow on the hill and the local tourist board are expecting the place to be dead as all the yanks are staying down south. Going to be a great winter for riding / skiing. Plus there are a load of world cup events in preparation for the Winter Olympics in 2010.

Always keen to get up the hill and go for a few beers with any fellow addicks....

Carpet is making a comeback apparently, heard something on the radio the other day that sales are up and people are ripping up their laminate flooring for a more traditional look.
  • Plaayer, i ski'd Bannf in 04 (prolly not as good as whistler) but all the same it was totally amazing, i would love to go whistler, my mate here at work has been to both and says whistler edges it just!! The people are amazing, the ski is awesome, and the steak, whoa out of this world!! It cost me 890 quid for a pukka accomodation in Banff village, the 2 main ski places are lake louise (you'd struggle to find a more beautiful place on earth) and sunshine village!! Oakster lives in Calgary ( i am sure) and i am sure he will vouch for the beauty that is lake louise!! Stunnng part of the world Canada i tell thee.
  • Sold my soul after runing bars/clubs/restaurants,

    Now do IT recruitment
  • ere DA9, i foookin hate that laminate shite, always loved Carpet. Never went out fashion in my household!! And the knee things they use to put carpet in, them things are amazing.
  • We have laminate in the living room (her choice) I dont mind it but would prefer carpet, especially in the winter, I just think it insulates better and makes the house feel warmer.
  • I've only got carpet on the stairs in my place.

Considering ripping up the laminate and getting carpet but I also want to get the real wooden floorboards treated and use them.

That being said my "house development" fund has been slowly diminishing over the past few months.
  • Banker - Arrange property and business finance - commercial/residential investment and development.

  • MCS - Been over to lake louise in the summer, swam in the lake (fecking freezing!!). Have to agree it is stunning, one of my favourite places I've been to.

Plaayer - this is the year to come, loads of deals about. Hotels I work for are pretty high end, but you should be able to find something else for around 100 quid a night for a room (2 people sharing). Depends on how many of you and what you're looking for. Can get some pretty sweet deals on Condo's if there's a group. Some of the travel agents will also have good packages.
