Oh dear some not very good news possibly not just Tredwell too according to this article:
James Tredwell has asked Kent for permission to talk to other counties having become frustrated by his lack of first team opportunities.
Tredwell, England's Test spinner as recently as April 2015, has been limited to just 32.4 overs so far in the Championship season as a combination of unhelpful surfaces and selection issues have minimised his opportunities.
The final straw appears to have come with the signing of Pakistan legspinner Yasir Shah as Kent's overseas player for four matches in mid-season. While Yasir's pedigree is undoubted - he was the second fastest bowler in Test history to claim 100 wickets - so is Tredwell's frustration. Having played five early-season Championship matches on unresponsive surfaces, the 35-year-old Tredwell could be forgiven for looking forward to playing in more helpful conditions in mid-season.
Tredwell, who has been granted a benefit season this year, is out of contract with Kent in October. The club have another highly-rated offspinner, Adam Riley, on their staff. He has yet to play a first team game this season.
Their fortunes could be used to illustrate the plight of the contemporary spinner in English cricket. With much of the Championship campaign played in early-season conditions where seamers are expected to do the bulk of the bowling, the opportunities for spin bowling in red ball cricket are diminishing by the year.
Daniel Bell-Drummond and Sam Billings are also out of contract with Kent the end of the season. While Bell-Drummond is understood to have held talks with Warwickshire, who have made approaches to several players, Kent remain quietly confident of retaining his services. Not only do they have at least as good a chance of Warwickshire of playing Division One cricket next year, but Bell-Drummond emerged through the Kent system alongside the likes of Billings, Riley, Adam Ball and Sam Northeast and is immersed in the culture of the club.
Kent have not ruled out the possibility of offering Tredwell a new contract.
I was slightly surprised at the time at the decision to sign another spinner, but then also wondered if the testimonial year might mean the end of Tredders time with us anyway, especially IF Adam Riley can get his mojo back.
I hope DBD stays. I also want Billings to stay, but sadly we hardly ever see him play anyway, with absences for IPL and England duties
I'd love DBD or Billings at Surrey. Don't think either would come though as a DBD wpuld be unlikely to open and Billings unlikely to keep. The ones I really want are SNE we could do with an experienced middle order bat we have a hole at no 5 when Roy isn't playing. Or Matt Coles because he's impressed me every time I've seen him.

You do know you can be banned from here don't you?

It's a compliment to your players that a club like Surrey might be interested in them!

Surely it's Joe Clarke you'd be after anyway, you haven't nicked a Worcs player for a few years
Am I the only one who thinks that DBD has yet to truly prove himself - especially in the longer form of the game and more than ever this season.
Batted 125 times in First Class cricket and averages 36.16 with 9 hundreds and 21 fifties. This season he has scored just 300 runs from 13 innings with a top score of 90 for an average of just 23.07
This is also Division 2 and in theory he will be facing, on a consistent basis, less top class bowling.
Let's compare that to someone like, for example, Dan Lawrence at Essex who, at 19, is some four years younger than DBD and is playing in Division 1:
Batted 48 times in First Class cricket and averages 47.19 with 6 hundreds and 8 fifties. This season he has scored just 444 runs from 10 innings with a top score of 141* for an average of just 63.42
Whilst it would be a loss to lose someone of DBD's talent, it is, in my opinion, an unfulfilled one. Maybe he would do better to get his head down and get runs in the book before contemplating that move and even better, perhaps, have a word with a team mate of his, Joe Denly, about just how green the grass is on the other side.

Think Kent have been slightly behind from start to finish really @Leuth, maybe around par when you were 3 down. If we get another 100 you'll either win comfortably, or capitulate miserably!
Comments
think we will win this by 38 runs.
maybe.
if we bat well.
and bowl better.
and Worcs panic.

96th in the Div 2 batting averages isn't what would be expected of him at this stage of his career
....til the curse of Fanny strikes again ?
