@Leuth as a member of the goalkeepers union, if you had been awarded that free kick you would have told the ref the goal should stand wouldn't you?
  • Couple of good interceptions, a great tackle on Konsa who he marked out of the game. Stopped that driving run of Konsa's with very good shimmying technique.

    Other than that utter garbage.

    Stroud's in Gloucestershire.

    You'll find it on Googlemaps.

I thought Stroud was near Chatham.......spelling never my strong point

  • Today's ref must have been Keith Strood.

    Easy mistake to make.

My 10 year old daughter was staring into space earlier this evening. I asked her 'what are you thinking about?'

Her reply 'I am trying to think of a way to get revenge on the ref. I want him to get the sack'.

Second time she has got really upset in a game about the ref. (and actually cried).

    Yes she's got it.

    Bless her cotton socks.

Has she signed up for WAR yet ?
WAR need a t-shirt. Kid sizes too. At the moment though it's 'WAS' in our house. War Against Stroud.
  • There are referees who are shit and there are referees who are weak.
If you get one who is both, you are never going to get a result against the Scum.

To some people's amusement, I rate Darren Deadman the best ref in the football league.
He clearly has a good understanding of the game and controls it without allowing himself to be influenced by players, managers or the crowd.

Stroud makes poor decisions and is easily influenced.
People called it early in the week and they were proved right. He should never have been in charge for a game such as this.

And there are some that you suspect might be on a bet/bung as proven in the Leeds (I believe euro game some years ago).
  • got in some good blocks and broke well from defence in the second half

  • I think for everybody's sake the ref should never be allowed to ref us again. In all honesty, I don't think he should be allowed to ref anybody! I would put money on him not apologising to Robinson.
  • Will Morison get a retrospective red for the push that led to Tex's 2nd?
  • Does the ref just get away with a performance like that?

It makes me laugh when premier league managers moan about the quality of the referee.
I would like to see their reaction to some of the referees in league one

Stroud was ACTUALLY a Premier League Referee 2007-10!!

The important thing to remember is that she cannot be tried as an adult.

What you have to accept is that refs will miss things. But what I don't accept is them inventing something that didn't happen. You can't miss something that didn't happen and you can't say 'I'm sorry I didn't see it'. Didn't see what? Refs know they can't give a decision they havent seen, but how do you see something that hasn't happened. I think it stinks! Inventing things is a form of cheating.

I just cant accept why Referees cant come out after matches to explain decisions - Even if they do it through the Managers with Robinson coming out saying: I've spoken to the Referee who has explained he didnt give the goal because he thought Archer was impeded, upon reviewing the footage he's admitted to me that he got the decision wrong and has apologised for that fact!!
  • Big screen replays will eventually come into the game. Just like goal line technology finally did. I'm all for it. Not for every decision on the pitch but 'was it a penalty?', 'was it a goal?' (yesterday a classic example). I know there are grey areas with this approach but yesterday we scored a perfectly legitimate goal and it would take 10 seconds for a decision to be confirmed/ rectified.
