My mate got the subbutteo astro pitch. Saved me hours of ironing
He also had his dad's collection of subbutteo rugby and hockey, which was odd.
Did anyone else have striker, when you kicked the ball by pressing the players heads?
Yep. Had striker. Was great but unfortunately I was a bad tempered little shit and occasionally banged the head a little too hard when losing! Broke a few players.
Exiled - Got a dingoo A320 this Christmas - Plays a perfect game of Sensi (both Megadrive and SNES versions).
Inferior version but cheers anyway Muttley ;-) . I am able to play it on my PC but I may look into one of these things.
The Megadrive plays better than the Snes IMO - It does stand up to the Amiga version! Plays gameboy, gameboy advance, nes, master system, Snes and Megadrive games. Just download the roms - many come pre-loaded but I had to add sensible. You can also connect to your TV - but the downside is that you can only play one player! Apparently there is a Speccy emulator but it wasn't pre-loaded and I haven't got round to that yet.
Absolutely quality game. My dad had his one from when he was younger but had adapted it using the same fielders and batsmen but a different bowling mechanism. The pitch was bigger too...
I cant remember too much about my childhood but I distinctly remember buying Owzat on a trip 'up London' to Hamleys. Had hours of fun writing out England v West Indies innings !
I had a version of crossfile which had The red baron and a Sopwith camel on each side and you had to shoot out struts under the wings with the bearings. Nobody believes me and I can't find any pics, but I had it! I didn't dream it.
In terms of Raving Bonkers - my problem was that my Blue robot had a bit of a glass jaw!

I still have my Meccano set from the 80s
(my first PC was also the Speccy 48k)

In terms of actual amount of time 'playing something', though, it would easily be this:

But lego was the one.
Beyblade in a distant second.
