    Roddick was on Radio 4 this morning and he described the possibility (before Raffa's semi) of a Federer/Nadal final as being the most significant Grand Slam final in history. It's hard to argue against that statement.

    If you add to that a Williams ladies final, it adds up to an historic Aussie Open.

    Seems a nice fella and a brilliant player at his best, but hard to warm to on court. I guess a lot of non-brits probably feel the same about Murray but for different reasons.

    The Federer semi was played very early, he's effectively got 2 days rest before the final. It would be like one of the men's semis at Wimbledon being played on Thursday instead of Friday

    Yeah the scheduling here gives one man an extra days rest ahead of the final. Bizarre that they've never changed it but even so, it's still 48 hours rest for Nadal and he'll be more than capable of winning.

    2 days rest for Nadal is fine, it's just weird that Federer has 3 days! It makes Friday a bit quiet too, whereas the Friday is a massive day at Wimbledon.

    The problem is at the Paris and US opens, when if one semi is delayed due to weather issues, one player has to play the final the day after the semi.

    Really looking forward to this after the disappointment of Murray going out. Hope Nadal can underline his long comeback from injury and confidence problems with a victory.

    My brother who has watched him play says he is virtually OCD with his rituals and petty foibles.
    Apart from constantly yanking his underwear out of his crack, everything he does has to be in order and just so.
