Holy shit, how many other CEO's of League One teams are so incompetent that they make the Premier League obsessed national press?

Great work Katrien, you have finally made the big time, might have been an idea to sort the day job out first before creating a media profile for yourself.

It certainly would not be entirely unreasonable to compare Meire to US nut-job politician Sarah 'Hillbilly' Palin, both very similar in their backgrounds and conduct.

No, they're very much not. Katrien is a lawyer, Sarah Palin has a high school diploma. Just because they're women in the spot light who were both given jobs they weren't qualified for does not make them the same.

Yes, I am standing up for KM here to a degree, but only because Sarah Palin was drastically less qualified and given a job exponentially more serious.

Well... Now that's been cleared up... pleased to see Meire getting a high profile kicking!

Maybe Kelly Anne Conway is a better comparison? Also originally had a career in law, and now has to defend a bloke prone to batshit public outbursts...

Sorry mate, will have to disagree here.

KM might have a law degree but worth remembering that George W Bush had an MBA and went to Yale, don't prove a damn thing.

I think they are very similar, Palin got noticed by Bill Kristol and launched onto the national stage when she was nowhere near qualified to do so.

The same happened with Meire, she came under Roland's wing and somehow got parachuted into the CEO slot of a football club despite no experience as CEO or in football at all.

Both of them were then very quickly exposed because they had no idea what they were doing - something that was easily identifiable as soon as they went before the media and public.

I would opt for Palin over Nightmeire as our CEO every time.

She maybe a nutter and have an IQ lower than current east stand attendances but at least she is not entirely dependent on an over-indulgent old man for her career to date.

The FA know all about her lack of delivery, lies and lack of time keeping. Oh, and don't forget that 99% of football chairmen don't like her either

I remember seeing Joey Barton messing around with it on the TV, I thought it had been given to them by a fan though rather than the Football League

Indeed, and while you may be able to clean google, you can't clean peoples' memories.

Expensive off the record dinners with the press?
I assume she is paying, not the club.
    Doubt it though.
We can't afford to hire in a boiler.
Loads of fans inconvenienced, and put to extra expense.
Katrien is on the F.A. governance group already at some level, positioned because there were not enough candidates.
Katrien seems to love herself in inverse proportion to her distain for Charlton fans.
    Clean this up Google.

It is ridiculous and an iditement on the sport that there are so few women in it that the FA appointed Meire. This needs to change, and if our next CEO was a woman, just a competent one unlike Meire, we would all be more than happy with that. Until then it is better for the FA to admit it has a problem and try to solve it, rather than appoint somebody so useless to a role because of her sex. It does not solve the problem, it papers over the cracks.
