Attendances have fallen markedly ...seems fewer than 10,000 now the norm with that falling to around 6000 for recent games, regardless of what the official figures might say. Hard to see many being drawn back other than with special promotions, all the more so with nothing to play for in the remaining two months. That does not bode well for season tickets as cannot see any who binned them over last summer returning, and there will be another fall-off after another poor campaign.
A change of owner will, of course, turn things on their head.
Those season ticket holders not attending this season give a good indication of those that will renew next season under Duchatelet. With Duchatelet & Meire there will be lots of promises but squad will be insufficient as it was/is for the past 3 seasons & 6 transfer windows.
Season tickets under Duchatelet will likely be around 3,500 to 4,000. About 1/3 of those will not attend leaving gates of 7,000 on an average Saturday & 4,000 to 5,000 on midweek. On a cold midweek game, against a Northern team with small support, & the team doing poorly, attendance will struggle to get across 4,000. Next season it will be difficult for Meire to disguise the continued deterioration of the support.
Duchatelet sells to a decent new owner. Season tickets will top 10'000 & may even double. A chance to rebuild the club. Let's hope it happens for the positive future sake of the club. It will take some time to rebuild support. Lots of expertise available amongst the existing support if new owners wish to harness it.
I think we all recognise that the exit of Duchatelet and his piece of work will see a surge in support but we shouldn't under-estimate the long term damage their gross mismanagement has done to our fan base. Many of those who have given-up won't rush back. We need some sustainable footballing success and you are taking a year or two minimum, likely three or four.
KM and her team really can't organise anything, it's not hard love it happens every year a bit like the POTY do .............. oh shit so we won't have season tickets next season.
The comms team are too busy plugging their new player thing, or whatever its called, that goes with the early bird option. am sure they will tell us how many that attracted on Monday.

I had a crafty look on the club's website and yes, unbelievably, they are on a countdown to the deadline for the "Early Bird " season ticket renewal date. Must rush and get my application in so I can have 6 months free access to the new video service. You really couldn't make it up.
Has anyone renewed yet? Be honest, if you have be loud and proud on here and tell us why you want to give the current owners your money 3 and a half months before the new season starts .

I've renewed done at the Gillingham game
Elfsborg won't talk to you again.
Good Will sell 5000 this season if lucky
As there was around 6000 last season and about 3000 no shows each game, with a percentage of them no boycotting, I would expect about 4000.
I've renewed. The idiot owners, incompetent CEO, the gobby manager, the lacklustre displays on the pitch. Nothing except death or poor Heath will stop me going! Sorry.

Christ just get a divorce, there are easier ways to avoid the wife than having to rock up at the Valley !
Haven't got around to buying it but will get a season ticket for next season. Might as well make the use of my student card whilst I have one. Only £135.

With all due respect that would apply to anyone that has renewed, or bought, a season ticket. I get that we might not want want to renew but the three months before the season starts is a bit of a red herring.

No need to say sorry, Would have been better if you'd held back from renewing for a few months IMHO but it's up to you and no one should be ashamed or sorry for buying a ST.

Suppose thats for renewing.
That's pathetic behaviour.
Hate not going but my self imposed exile is over 18 months now, but won't slagging off anyone for going as long as they extend me the same courtesy.
