    Suppose thats for renewing.

    Wtf!

    That's pathetic behaviour.
Can't see who it is probably Elfsborg.
Probably still got the hump from Northampton,
  • Not going to buy one for the second season running - I attend most home matches & pay for the cheapest seat in the East & then sit in a dearer area. This may be costing me more money in the long run than buying a season ticket, but with "games for a tenner" and other promotions, as well as missing a few games due to holidays or illness I hope that I will break even - just don't want to pay up front & give RD money upfront.

I will, though, most probably buy Golfie Jnr one as it only costs £100 & that works out at less than a fiver a match - whereas the usual cost is a tenner. Plesae don't hold it against me.
  • For the first time since I don't know when, I have not renewed early. I'm fairly certain I will eventually renew my seat in the Lower Covered End, but I do have some reservations. To say I hate what these people have done to our football club, is an understatement. I've even stopped eating Belgian buns.
Apart from my wife and our three sons, Charlton Athletic Football Club has been the one constant in my life, and I find it very hard to contemplate boycotting, although I did miss two home games towards the end of the season - very much out of character.
I just hope that RD, KM et al are gone as soon as possible. I really miss those Belgian buns.
  • How many STs were sold for 16-17?

I've renewed however my reasons are because I'm going with my grandad (who is 83 in September so may not be with us much longer) and he is paying for me due to my lack of finances. It is something we do together and despite my feeling towards the regime, it's something that I want to keep on doing so I will.

For what it's worth, we delayed last year until the end of July but did it early this time.

Completely understand those who won't renew or will delay and think I'm doing the wrong thing but family comes first.

Bloody teachers getting members of the public to pay for their jolly outings!

    Great post.
I hope you have many more seasons with your grandad
Thank you. Means a lot. I hope so too.

I'm led to believe the figure was about 6,200 BUT this figure included players tickets, people in boxes, staff tickets. Nearer 5,500 I am thinking of bought season tickets.

This! I renewed last year, not anymore. I'm not going back until they've gone.

The comms team are too busy plugging their new player thing, or whatever its called, that goes with the early bird option. am sure they will tell us how many that attracted on Monday.

I had a crafty look on the club's website and yes, unbelievably, they are on a countdown to the deadline for the "Early Bird " season ticket renewal date. Must rush and get my application in so I can have 6 months free access to the new video service. You really couldn't make it up.

Has anyone renewed yet? Be honest, if you have be loud and proud on here and tell us why you want to give the current owners your money 3 and a half months before the new season starts .
I've renewed done at the Gillingham game
Elfsborg won't talk to you again.
    Good
Will sell 5000 this season if lucky
    Looking more like 3500

If we had new owners and ticket prices were cut 33% across the board, I wonder what they could be.

Money burning a hole in pockets

  • I've been a season ticket holder for about 15 years and won't be renewing this year, not directly because of RD but because the football has been so dreadfully tedious, and I haven't enjoyed attending for some time.

As I have said before, there's no right or wrong decision with this. As a renewer, I admire those that have taken the stand of not renewing. As I've mentioned on here before, the regime will not stop me doing all I've ever done on Saturday afternoons, despite the fact I feel empty when going to games at the moment.

I can't explain it and this might sound stupid, but I get no pleasure in seeing us win. In my head, every defeat is another nail in the coffin of the regime. I wrote on here about 15 months ago in the deepest darkest days of frayere when I believe it was at its most chaotic, that I hoped they lose every game and go on an abysmal run. Some of that still stands today. Yet when we go on the attack and something looks like it's going to happen, my body moves involuntarily as if I'm just waiting to celebrate if we score. Yet if we do score, I just about stand up, no more....

For me that sums up why they are completely wrong for us. A fan shouldn't go to football to support his team and feel like that. It's 'unique' to put it politely. For as long as they stay, that's how I'll feel.

I do also have an awareness that in the time I've been going, 88-present, I've actually been very lucky and not many fans of other teams have seen what I've seen. If you look at it on a macro level and over time, on average we've finished mid table in the championship, maybe that's where we destined for. I also know like anything, it's cyclical. Clubs can go way down, Swansea, Fulham, wolves, hull and Brighton, and they can come up. I could accept a lull and shit football, but this is different. It's not about what's going on on the pitch. It's the culture and the core. It's rotten.

How do I know this. We're a very intelligent and special group of fans. I know most clubs will say that, but we are. We've put up with and dealt with so much over our history. Despite scepticism in the early days of the regime, the majority of us, the open minded that we are, were prepared to give them a chance.

It wasn't like as soon as they arrived we were closed off to their ownership. They've created this, they've perpetuated it. They won't learn from it despite all these shallow actions to try and con us into their way of thinking.

Some fans still go, just because they will always go and they will stick by arguments like, at least we have club, or, what if RD goes, who will pay, we could get someone worst, or they simply see the club as the 90mins from 3-5 on Saturday. That's fine. I'm tired of it, and that opinion is starting to grate on me, but no fan's opinion is better than the other and I have to remember that.

Who knows how this will end up. But when it does end, I hope we all come back together and can feel like it's a good thing to be associated with again

Top three paragraphs replicate my thoughts.

    F*** them.

i know where u r coming from but you can't be enjoying it. @nibbles post above sums it up perfectly. Join your big bro and your Mum and Dad in boycotting, you know it makes sense :-)
