I got wind of this latest news a few days back.....but because of all the false dawns I was very very reluctant to mention it. Glad someone else has picked up on it and had the bottle to run with it. All I can say is it confirms what I heard. Still not nailed on of course but another glimmer of hope with fairly reasonable legs has been lit.
I think there could be some lit legs to this story, my sauce told me there'd be a nailed on, on fire Australian in the crowd today.

Even if the new sale is BS, given that three quarters of the squad are out of contract in June, a canny owner might finance a proper push for top two with the aim of getting rid of us quicker.
If he does sell, ending his tenure giving a manager money to spend might undo some of his legacy of pissing money up the wall to no effect.

Anyone who thinks De Turck spends the Sunday between Christmas and New Year taking a party round the club in order to divert the fans’ forum is as delusional as Duchatelet. Why would he need to do that?
On the one hand people think the Belgians regard the fans as stupid or irrelevant, on the other they think RD is hatching elaborate schemes to divert them from protests. To what end? So he can lose more money, presumably.
I have no idea whether this will be the final act in the saga. I am very confident that it’s got sweet FA to do with the fans’ forum.

True, but he also believes that he has done well by the club and that the criticism is unfounded. He can rightly point to signings he has made that have cost a lot either in fees or salary, and in some cases both.
I would not put it past him to make a mark purchase to put his tenure in a good light.
May I be the first to say that if he does in fact do this I would have to reconsider my views on his ownership and put him into possibly the best owner we have ever had categories.
I have little ( actually, nothing) of note to add to today's mounting hysteria ....
.....except to say that, scouring the West from my vantage point in the East this afternoon, there was no sign of cossack dancing in the aisles when we scored.
Neither was there a sighting of a samovar steaming away at half time.
But, as is my wont, I am ready, willing & able to accept my mission to re-enter Rat territory in one final effort to persuade the Dark Lord that the time is right to throw in the proverbial & make a strategic, if overdue, exit.
I'd like to assure you that, despite whispers to the contrary, my loins remain oiled & coiled like well honed springs to, well, spring into action as required.
Of course, I cannot speak for my suggested partner in grime, but I would appreciate a whip round for a couple of wines to provide some much needed Flemish courage before CE and I prepare to beard the **** in his den- please insert your own insult as applicable.

Nobody to my knowledge has ever provided any evidence to say price is an issue other than to speculate that rumoured price is too high. Contrarily, RD has stated price is agreed and this was confirmed by JS for the Ozzies. Nobody does DD without knowing what purchase will cost.
Scottish consortium openly said they dropped out as the asking price was ridiculous.
