Anyone know if the Aussies have made a bid to ESI yet?
Believe it or not they were also waiting to hear from the EFL.

Reading through this thread and Into The Valley has come on 6music. This as well as the fact that I can see the valley from my window has got me welling up. Great day.

Just bought my ticket for Sunday. Four long years of boycotting about to finally come to an end. I can't wait to finally be back in the covered end. We got our Charlton back!
Same here. I couldn't get in to the NW as it's a sell-out, Managed to get into the West upper block B. Sadly the North Upper and the west all seemed to be closed (or are all sold out already). Maybe they might want to re-think that? Many, like me, will want to end their boycott.
There's still 2,649 left in the Covered End......

Had they agreed a price with Roland?

That's some telescope you've got there in Leeds, @Leeds_Addick - can even see round the curvature of the Earth!!
  • Oh happy days ....finally.  Would be great to celebrate with a victory tonight but that would be asking for too much with our decimated squad

Good riddance Roland - delighted you've gone but outraged that you seem to have sold the the club for 3 or 4 times what you paid for it despite adding absolutely no value! Greedy barsteward.

This might be a slightly unpopular comment but well done EFL for apparently taking the time to thoroughly investigate ESI prior to confirmation of the takeover.  As frustrating as it was we should all be grateful.
spot on. hopefully it's a sign that they've learnt from their mistakes and will do these checks properly now

Or they’ve been largely pissed over the last few weeks

    No Airman today?.
I’ve just been enjoying Roland’s rambling nonsense on Sky, if you don’t mind.
What did the silly old sod say?
It’s very important that people enjoy themselves at matches. I was hoping for mention of dancing.

He did say “enjoy the moment”.
As long as your idea of enjoyment is selling your star striker within two minutes of turning up, only liking house music, spectating from a sofa and watching two people boof in the centre circle.

God knows. I didn’t dare ask. I assume a lower bid than ESI?

charlton working on getting a cm from a rival Champ club
Brilliant!  You're a genius, @Redhenry - it's good to have you back.  I love this clue - it's quite a complex one, but really good.

Of course, most people are going to think you mean "central midfielder".  Whereas cm (or "CM" as it should really be written) refers to the Roman Numerals for 900.

And, what happened in AD 900?  Well, as everyone knows, it was the year that Persian astronomer Abu Ja'far al-Khazin was born.  And, while most people know him as the author of Zij al-Safa'ih, it shouldn't be forgotten that he wrote a commentary on Ptolemy's Almagest.

And why is that important?  Well most people would be familiar with the Greek and Latin versions of Almagest, I am sure.  But, as we all know, there have been three English translations, in 1952, in 1984 and, the most recent, in 2014, which was only a partial translation.

So, I can't imagine a bigger confirmation that we're being taken over from the Middle East, after the partial and incomplete reimagining of the club in 2014 (by Duchatelet), I don't know what is.  Thanks, again, for the massive hint that it's all about to go through.
@Chizz, you are completely bonkers.  But in a good way.

Serious amount of work gone into this, scarf, train picture, official site on the monitor and are they protest water bottles?  It’s like a spot the difference.

I’m guessing the boss isn’t back from Christmas break until Monday and it’s a quiet day in the office.
I thought they were meant to be Bovril :D

    Agreed, good work from @SWEnglandAddick

Yes, great effort by all who did something by way of protest but let’s not forget lee bowyer in all this - if he hadn’t got us promoted I think we would still be stuck with rd - he needs our support more than ever now to help get us out of this injury induced rut
    Keep up...
