2nd paragraph, ‘a deal could be announced by the end of the week’. You wrote that, you were wrong. As I said a while back, Doucher gets criticised when he was wrong, therefore I think you should to.Airman Brown said:
Go and read the story I published in October. Happy to be called out on what I actually wrote but not invented versions of it.Greenie Junior said:
The point is that what you’re saying also isn’t true. You’re slating the club for being a joke for saying ‘nothing was happening’ which was not true, but you’ve said a deal was to be announced within the next week back in October then you said done deal, which, again turned out to be nonsense.Airman Brown said:
Yes, and compare that with the official line until December 28th that nothing was happening and the club was not for sale. Which was more accurate? Yet people still want to rely on the official version of events, which has been a joke since 2013 when Slater denied the club was for sale while documents trying to sell it were being hawked around the City.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
Well this was your VOTV in November.......Airman Brown said:
An entirely false statement. Evidence?WhenIwasLittleBoy said:This takeover has been happening "within the next week" since November. Think someones source is not that reliable, as well as until it is officially announced i can't see how people can forecast when this will be concluded.
Were “lawyers working to sell the club” as reported or does anyone seriously think now that wasn’t true?
So am I right in thinking, by the same standards of you saying the clubs a joke, that you are also a joke?

The whole story has come out over many months because I’ve trusted my sources. If we’d only listened to the club people would have believed there was no hope of getting rid of Duchatelet right up until December 28th. I haven’t got everything right or had the full picture at any point and nobody never would, but the story has come out via these sources (and others) and one of them here is better placed than anyone talking, including Richard Murray, to know. So we’ll see.WhenIwasLittleBoy said:
And as for the tweet "Done Deal? " Should that have been given less weight ?Airman Brown said:
Indeed. On the story for which I posted the link above, which has one factual inaccuracy in it concerning the directors’ loans, which I’ve since been told can be rolled over without their consent if there are no leases or other disposals involved.WhenIwasLittleBoy said:Airman Brown

I've got four sources on the story. There are no guarantees until they are gone but this is real.
Even 88 people liked it.
With hindsight I should have given less weight to the source which said it could “even” happen within the next week, but the four sources were all about the deal in general, only one was about timing, which the story states. The club said “nothing was happening”.

Would be silly to do anything else at this point unless you're willing to completely write the season off. With or without new owners.simonmatthews said:Looks like we've got Robinson as manager until the end of the season.....

I think all Rick, Redhenry etc have been ‘guilty’ of is trying to give supporters hope ( and themselves, no doubt) that the current administration at CAFC is actually, finally, on its way. That day cannot come soon enough, but it is clearly a complex process, especially with the current owner anywhere near the negotiations.
There’s been a few false dawns, but not intentionally, in my view. The real problem/ target of ire should remain the elusive current owner, not those trying in vain to find out what the eff is happening.

But you cannot disclose any information during DD or whilst the takeover is taking place, what would concern me if i was buying the club is that information is being leaked and secondly is being placed on a forum, surely there is a potential for the deal to collapse by putting the information in the public domain.Airman Brown said:

He bought the 12-pack, took it home,
No patience, straight away...
Chicken and mushroom, added foam,
With sweetcorn, too, hooray...
Yet its taste required something,
The tongue to dazzle more...
With an oxo's beefy stuffing,
It thrilled him to the core!
He salivated there, of course,
For what else could he do?
The noodles topped with soya sauce,
Were spicy through and through!
He swirled and swirled the mixture round,
Aromas everywhere...
One slurp and he was Heaven-bound!
A feast beyond compare!
He leaned against the worktop's side,
Stood up and yet laid back,
With sniffing sounds he couldn't hide,
Then he took off his mac...
He shovelled noodles past his lips,
They slithered down his throat...
While spilling drips on fingertips,
Whatever floats your boat...
His guilty pleasure thus went on,
His belly boiling hot,
Till finally, all noodles gone,
He raised and drained the pot...
He licked the giant spoon as well,
Then thanked the Lord above...
You see, pot noodles cast a spell!
One pot and you're in love!

Peoples appetite for protesting and generally getting on Roland's nerves have cooled somewhat because you have said many times he was on the brink.
I know you want people to think their actions are getting somewhere but think you've over done it quite a bit on the timescale for such an outcome.
Tbh I don't think anyone really cares what the club's slant is on proceedings. They've been lying to our faces since they turned up. I really don't get your infatuation with pushing the line that they were not telling the truth.
We are now in a very strange position as a body of supporters. Unity appears to have gone out of the window.

Questioning AB isn't simply a case of 'personal narratives/ grievances'. Many moons ago, I questioned him on one of his posts and was called a 'petulant child' even though AB finally admitted that what he had posted amounted to nothing more than 'gossip'.
AB has - I'd imagine - more contacts in the club than most on here, and reports their rumours for our benefit. But until the deal is 'done' they remain nothing more than rumours and people are entitled to question them.
AB has something of a sacred cow status on here, and questioning him or calling him out on his rumours doesn't amount to 'Airman bashing'.
I take any 'ITK' posts with a very large pinch of salt, and wait for the club to officially announce our new owners.
