  • I only do low risk bets, so apologies if this may not excite you, but Man United to win the FA Cup outright at 1.80 (4/5), looks decent. Mou will want this more than Conte IMO.

    Work this one out....

Email from Bet Victor offering £5 free bet to try their new price it up feature (same as request a bet, all bookies offer it now)

Anyway, picked out Salah to score anytime and Dzeko to score anytime, offered 7/2
I put in both teams to score as well and it offered 13/2

How the bloody hell does that work? If Salah and Dzeko both score then both teams will have scored anyway!!! And they've given almost double the odds for it.

Out of curiosity just tried the same on bet365.

Both bets are 4/1 which is what I would expect.

Truro 7/5 at Weston Super Mare.
Weston looked dead and finished for the season Saturday (against Welling) and lost 3-1. Could have been a lot more.
Truro unlucky the weekend against fellow play off contenders Braintree. From what I read, a draw would have been a fair result.
Bit of a local derby this one, but Truro will need a win to put them into the play off hunt.
Think I am on this as Truro need to lose (and Welling win) for Welling to have any play off chance.

I’ve just backed Plymouth (£17) to beat Rochdale at 10/3. Absolutely a no brainer bet. If Plymouth win I get £72, if the bet doesn’t win ***** Wembley Wembley*****

    Come in Rochdale!

Had Salah to score a brace, Juan Jesus to be booked, 5 corners each and Dzeko goal for 250-1 long-shot! Just need Dzeko, 4 Roma and 2 pool corners in second half!

Anyone got any suggestions for what to squander my Bet365 £25 risk free in-play bet on?

Went for final score 5-2, Firmino to score twice, exactly eleven corners, 2 goals in the last ten minutes, Steven Gerrard to say "yeah course" over 40 times and Ian Rush to be picked up by the TV cameras sitting next to a tidy bird about half his age. 6250/1, so return of about £155k.

Was gonna split it with anyone who suggested a tip in response to my previous email, but none of you did so I'm now sitting on my own in a limousine on the way to Stringfellows.

It's shocking isn't it. FOBT's and online slots/roulette in general are awful cons - at least if you bet on the footy, the spin of the wheel or the next cards in person (and there is enough of an issue with those things as is) at least the whole thing isn't predetermined by a computer.

    FOBTs need banning immediately.

I thought the reason why so many bookie shops have opened up is because they are only allowed 4 of these machines in each shop.

?? No idea I don't really go in bookies I do all my betting online. I know they make a LOT of money on those things so it wouldn't surprise me if that explains why they seem to be thriving in circumstances where you would expect online casinos to be causing these shops to be shutting down left right and centre like online is doing to other areas of the retail sector.

If it really is only 4 per shop they must be making even more profit than I thought. Terrifying.
  • After following Conference South football for the past few years heres my take on this weekends finale;
    WHITEHAWK V WEALDSTONE
Whitehawk at home against a team playing tonight. Wealdstone will not fancy this. What with nothing to play for and tired end of season legs, fancy a in form Whitehawk to sign off with a victory. They drew away at Poole although they were already relegated and Poole needed to win to escape the drop.
    BOGNOR V DARTFORD
Think Dartford will be up for this from the off against a side who can't wait for the season to end. No idea how many goals but H/T F/T Dartford may be the punt.
    HAVANT V CONCORD
Although Concord are safe and Havant need the win, they also needed the win against Thurrock the other day. The midweek game may add to fitness for this game and at the odds that are offered look poor. Remember that they were drawing at H/T against Thurrock. Will a rested Concord give them more of a game?
    BATH V ST ALBANS
St Albans are on a shit run of form. Bath on the other hand, looked very well drilled over Park View Road Tuesday night. Fancy Bath to finish on a high.
    HAMPTON V TRURO
Hampton come into this on good form and will be pushing to not have to play an extra play off game. Good result at St Albans last weekend and not having a mid week game (unlike Truro) will help. Truro are safe for the play offs so will they risk too much effort this weekend?
    CHIPPINGHAM V WELLING
The battle of the couldn't care less fixtures. Welling away form is very good, but can they be bothered? I will have this as a friendly handshake at the end draw.

    Whitehawk @ 33/20
    Dartford HT FT @ 8/15
Havant - wouldn't like to guess - maybe HT DRAW FT Havant
    Bath @ 21/10
    Hampton @ 11/10
    Welling draw @ 13/5

Put me down for Whitehawk as the banker, With the other four as a trebles/ acca. Not including Havant.

Nice review there @Robbo on the wing , i often when it comes to conference games i will just back faves blind unless i know a team is doing well. might add Whitehawk to my 5fold banker (which rarely is ironically lol)

A simple Dartford/Havant double for me. Difficult to see these two not winning given recent form and the significance of these games.
Unfortunately the bookies think the same, odds are dreadful.
