  • Terrible day of results for Palace

    Dont agree.
They are now still just 1win away from getting out of bottom 3.
Looking at the players they have, their wage bill must be so high, what with the likes of Benteke, Zaha, Cabaye,Sakho,Townsend,Tomkins.
Would be a shame for them to get relegated.

It’s the “WHY?” at the end that gets me
Watched it about half a dozen times now. Laughed each time

  • £27m for a forward who, four months in to the season, has yet to score - and can't even do so from 12 yards with only the keeper to beat. Their fans booing him off the pitch. Woy having no obvious replacement and probably no money to spend in January. It's all such a pity.
  • Saw earlier he has now missed more penalties for the Nigel's (3) than he has scored (2).

There’s a thread somewhere on their forum, Dickheads online or something, from when they signed him, actually gloating that they’d spent 32 mill on one player, and the likes of us and you lot couldn’t dream of spending that much , blah blah blah.

Especially not when they've spent £100m+ on some new cladding for one of their stands
  • Like all established PL teams if their main striker is not performing the manager will simply drop him next game and bring in one of their multiple back up superstars.

    Haha.
  • Hate to say it but Begovic caught Zaha's leg, very very soft but there was contact.

    No ban for Zaha

    It was a dive.
  • First one was a dive, second one why the f**k did Daniels need to make that challenge? Pen all day.
If it was down to me I'd sink this thread until we had something to shout about, but if you can find a way to gloat at the scumbags competing 2 leagues above us knock yourself out.
Don't think they will go down, sadly.

No way. Zaha was on his way down before he even got to Begovic.

Was on his way down before contact was made and left his foot down to make sure there was contact in the end. Zaha is a cheat. But he a bit more clever with it than the Everton fella.

Definitely this, he’s clever enough to create a tiny bit of doubt about whether there is contact and that’s enough to avoid a ban.

Ashley Young was similar until he started to get carried away with it and refs got wise to him. He soon stopped after getting regular yellow cards for it.
  • Bournemouth’s first goal should have been disallowed for a foul. Gutted

  • 5 games unbeaten. Granted only 1 win.
next 3 crucial, Watford home, then Leicester and and Swansea away - then Arse and Man City.

Another way to look at it is that from 5 recent games against West ham, Everton, West brom, Bournemouth and Brighton, they've taken only 5 points. 3 of those were home games too.

They're already behind the point per game ratio they need to stay up, so only drawing against these lesser sides is not enough.

Unless of course they do what they did last year and somehow manage to pull out wins against the top 6.
  • Even if they win 2 of the 3 next games it gives them 17 points and still in the thick of it also 5 games into the 8 we were talking about.
They haven't managed to pull hardly any of the the other teams back in and long may it continue.
On a last man standing group with few palace on there moaning last night.
W hats there to moan about you've not lost for 5 games.
    LOL
  • While I feel Swansea beating West Brom was actually a bad result I agree this is a run of games they need to be winning, draws just aren't enough.

Zaha is everything to them too. Really hoping Spurs or Arsenal come calling as I really think that would finish them off. I don't think there's any amount of money can replace the number of dives that wins them penalties. Most of the rest of the squad you get the feeling would move on if relegated.
  • Another home game? Those fuckers seem to be at home every week. Come on Watford!!
  • C'mon you golden glory hornet boys!
