Both our spinners were better than Lyon in my opinion.
Crane took the inside edge onto pad a couple of times and got one off a glove but nothing quite carried to the close fielders. Ali turned it and beat Khawaja's bat on a few occasions but nothing took the edge.
Crane, or "May-so" as Bairstow took to calling him, was compared a lot to Stuart MacGill by the commentary team in terms of his bowling action.
His first two balls were half trackers and I thought "oh please no" but he tightened it up nicely from then on. He did get a bit flustered on occasion and there were half a dozen times where he pulled out of deliveries because of it but there is 100% talent to work with.
Smith is an absolute freak - how does he make the way he bats look so easy? At times he looks like he could light a cigar and have three puffs of it before deciding exactly where he wants to hit the ball.

A freak indeed. And tonight he’s really taking the Michael. Logically he should be easy to get out by bowling a fast leg stump yorker, given that he’s virtually batting at gully by the time the ball is delivered. I just don’t get it.

(Hopefully Warner and Smith don't turn the game off again)
Let's hope these two can do it in tandem now.

When do you sleep?!
Not quite seen every ball but think I've caught at least a few overs of every session. Not sure why I do it to myself honestly.
Burnt to a crisp after two days, forecast 42 tomo and 45 sunday.
Impossible to get drunk in SCG with their 3.5% shite. Good fun. Couple of charlton england flags up

Wouldn't it be great if he got Smith out tomorrow as his first Test wicket ?
