If you don't know what I'm talking about, in the days of old, when no-one had mobile phones & there was no internet, one of the best ways of keeping up with the latest score was to phone "dial-a-score" service (or whatever it was called). I remember my first job, working for HSBC (Midland Bank as it was called then) I used to ring this number (normal rate, not premium or anything excessive) and you would get the latest cricket score & the last 3 men out. I clearly remember the 1984 Test Series against the Windies as I would be dialling this number about 7 or 8 times a day, only to hear the following......" England are 180 for 6, last 3 batsmen out were, Gooch c Gomes, b Marshall for 45, Botham c Greenidge b Marshall for 2, Willy b Garner for 6.
Let'a hope the Aussies pay so much weight to getting out the experienced boys that Stoneman, Malan and co. can contribute to getting us to a more than competitive 340+.
Stoneman with his experience in Australia, if he stays patient I'm hoping for good things.
The one thing we shouldn't underestimate is the fact that the Aussies do only have four bowlers. A little niggle from one of their injury prone quickies and then they will have just three. The Aussies then become very reliant on Lyon and if we can stop him from settling then they really will be in trouble.

and from what I've seen so far they're not Mitchell or McGrath.
Didn't know about the new rule changes. I agree with the "grounded bat" one . but not sure about the no topping up of reviews after 80 overs. Beefy will be pleased with the no loss of the review if it was umpires call.
I usually can't stand the guy, but Boycott"s just made 2 great comments in commentary.
1. Vince is a very talented cricketer. He'll look like a world beater for 20-30 runs, unfortunately, he has a habit of then playing a stupid shot to get out.
2. These are the best conditions an Englishman will ever face in Brisbane. It's usually hotter than hell, so make the most of it

The youth of today, don't know they're born.
