There’s a significant one coming up towards the latter part of 2019.....but I’m keeping my powder dry for the time being until their 90th.....a 100% genuinely huge worldwide personality. Having said that, I spoke to someone recently who informed me that the said person is not at all well.......so I guess it’s 50/50 whether they will make it onto Rivs honours board.
Australian opening batsman of the fifties and early sixties. 47 tests at 39.32

If you have to google it's a definite NO.
I didn't have to google the cricket details. I remember a young Benaud often referring to him in glowing terms in commentary back in the sixties. Indeed the suggestion was made that Bill Lawry (only early eighties) was his natural successor......
I thought the rule was if YOU have to Google it, it's a definite NO. Nobody else's opinion on celebrity has any bearing on this thread. Or have you moved the goalposts Chirps?

As I’ve told you countless times before this thread is about famous celebrities that are over 90 and still alive and NOT just people over 90 who are still alive. But you just carry on in your own little world trawling through cricinfo etc.
Bill Slater England International footballer. Born 29 April 1927.Played all England's matches in the 1958 World Cup and Wolves was his club at the time. His daughter is Barbara Slater who commentates on gymnastics and is the first female Director of Sport at the BBC.
I shall annoy @Riviera by posting it now whilst watching Quartet which I thought might have a few more contenders in the cast but they are all too young!
Happy Birthday dear Bernard. A stalwart of British film, theatre and television. My favourite role of his is undoubtedly Mr. Hutchinson the spoons salesman.

This is not an RIP thread, it's quite clearly about people who are very much alive! And with respect Mr Salter does not qualify.
