    Please?

I'm seriously thinking about it in light of the article in the Times.

Nicely done. Only a complete lunatic could object to that.

Well.. the reaction "elsewhere" has been depressingly predictable. It's really disappointing to read (I don't know why I bother really) and I don't understand why some people can't leave aside personal differences and just celebrate the efforts of our superb fanbase 25 years ago.

A certain wife of a certain club sec has claimed that this is all about "those that thibk they are far more important than they are" to the club's history.

I wonder if she is reflecting the views of her husband's employers.

    Genuine question
When this regime depart, which they will one day, what will she do?
Even if her hubby gets kept on? Honestly, how will she be able to show her face???

She is a very foolish woman and nobody is more full of unjustified self-importance than her. It was precisely to make the opposite point to that I wrote a spread about the 1992 directors in the current Voice.
Someone ;) has put that point to her quite well.

That was very good article Rick. Enjoyed it.

See the takeover thread, nothing concrete but massively encouraging.

If there was any one person other than the board who played a crucial part in the return to The Valley it was Peter Cordwell, IMO. Everything else was collaborative and involved many people.

CARD you have once again got this spot on...!!! ,
I personally am a boycotter still, but was genuinely swaying towards this game, the significance of it all really & what we as fans & a united club built from the lowest depths of despair,25yrs where has it gone...?,yes it should be & I hope it will be a celebration of all CAFC,forget about the numptys in charge, hope they won't be here for much longer anyways...we must stand together be it in the stands or wherever we are,we all follow the Addicks...we will be around a long time after they have gone...anyways because work won't allow it,I can't get my shift off or get it covered...so the boycott remains...but CARD once again thank you for this little bit of Charlton magic...

Enjoy the game the atmosphere & let's hope it really is the last stand of Douchbag Nightmeire & Co....

    Up the Addicks

My view - as others have saidits an opportunity to show old and new owners what our fan power at Charlton is capable of both in the Valley Party of old and in CARD, CASTtrust, FF, today

There's also a charity element to it.

Our club is sickly and on its knees lets roar it back to life, and show them its all about the fans

The charity element will be more than offset by extra ticket revenue from the bigger crowd at higher prices.
Take your point, but its still better than nowt. Plus there may be something more coming.
Are they going to sign the papers for the sale of the club on the pitch pre-match. Then jump into an awaiting helicopter and depart Saigon style at the end of the Vietnam War?
& with uncanny timing a stray nuke from N Korea will zap them !

Absolutely not sadly. Not until this cancer has gone.

Very sad as I was there in the Covered End on the day itself.

If he sells up completely what a shame he didn't do it before that date. Now what a party that would have been.

It'll be a a damned good party anyway, mind.

While I admire your stance this is our day, not the Belgians, not Robinson’s but ours.
It would be good to show them how it could be.
    Have a think about it.
Which is exactly how they were thinking when they hiked the prices up and set the fee for the dinner. Its their day so lets screw them for as much as we can.

Agree with the majority of comments. Great touch by CARD

We are forever grateful for those that put a shift and a half in to get us back home. Those still with us and who are passed should be duly thanked and remembered

Careful Addickted, you don't want our friends from the Met to demonstrate another sense of humour failure.

The price of the shirt is absolutely criminal

Pelling old chap, the cost of such a small run is very high.......the profit margin will be very tight.
    I agree it’s expensive but I don’t see a rip off here.
