  • Don’t think it matters who manages us the useless cnuts on the pitch need to take a lot of the blame, granted robbo is a know it all scouser who can become extremely tedious. Write this season off new owners come in, fuck the lot of them out including manager and start a fresh in the new season priority this season carry on bumbling along nick a play off spot ( only 4 points off currently ) and every team will have a bad patch, if not stay in the league and finish 10/11th.
  • Not sure its the best thing but he has to be on very thin ice now. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone by the end of the weekend.
  • I fully believe that without Jacko on the pitch against Blackpool and Wigan we would have lost them as well
  • He won't go. Not going up, not going down, owner looking to sell. Our new owners will foot the bill for his dismissal, sooner rather than later hopefully.

  • Hopefully we can scrape enough points together to stay in this division.

How many shots did we have other than Aribo's header?
  • Robinson can go now as far as I’m concerned.
  • I don’t think Karl is getting the most out these players at all.

4231 is a turgid , low risk formation , and somehow we’re still leaking goals.

But I wouldnt fire him yet , simply for the fact that I can’t see a manager who’d be successful at this shambles of a football club.

C'mon be honest now, you just don't want the hassle of changing your avatar
  • He should follow the trend and resign. We are not materially better now than when he took over. Imbalanced squad but overall it's a League One set-up.
  • I know it's all reactive, but do question many of you. Sack a manager every few months sadly seems to be an accepted game :-(
  • Mybe one of the provisos for the new owners is that Gobbo goes and Duchatelet has to sort him out financially.
I would be quite happy for new owners to come in and say they are effectively writing this season off, in order they can get the right team (management as well as players) ready for next season.
This team has no direction, guts, firepower, leaders or teamwork - however, it does have skill - i've given up on that coz he clearly cant harness it. And some of his signings, (reeves) ...shocking.

No it’s not accepted. But he is an absolute tosser. Same old shit formation. Drops Aribo who has been the only decent player since his come in then drops him for his love child caskey. Even trying desperately hard for an equaliser we still didn’t go 4-4-2.

This is his team and his formation, yes we have a small squad but rushing players back/ playing them out of position is due to him and only him. Just feels he isn't getting most out of his team or himself anymore

Nothing to suggest there is a good manager bursting to get out of Robinson.

He is a chancer that lets his gob run away when his management skills don't hit the mark, which is often.

I'm all for continuity, just not with this joker.

The only reason I don't want him sacked is because we have previously sacked 8 managers in two years.Really racking my brain to think of other reasons to be positive towards him.

  • Robinson has proven over the course of the past year that he is a one-trick pony. He desperately tried to get the 4-2-3-1 working with Slade's players but failed to manage it, then when given the opportunity to bring in the right players for the job, he still can't get it to work. This wouldn't be a major issue if he just had the nous mix it up occasionally, but he doesn't. Every team in this division will know how rigidly he sticks to his formation and as a result it's very easy for them to find a counter to it.

But, I'm not sure what we will gain by sacking him now. It's the same old question I guess, who can we get that will do a better job under the circumstances? Not to mention the fact that any new manager would expect there to be some money available to spend in the January transfer window, but it's unlikely Roland is going to want to shell out for players whilst negotiating a take over of the club.

There is the possibility of removing Robinson and just leaving it to Jackson and Bowyer to do the job for the rest of the season, but their inexperience would mean it's a huge gamble and could leave us worse off than if we keep him.
  • His league record over the past 3 seasons is very mediocre - a little over a point per game - boosted only by the first few months of this season.
  • No win in eight, playing crap and dropping down the league - just a blip.

Hard pressed to find a much worse manager?

Unless he is poached from us by Sheffield Wednesday....come on Meire, one right won’t make up for a thousand wrongs but its the least you can do....
My brother said similar about her going for Robinson as Wednesday boss.

I thought two myths got exposed as such today.

    1. 4231 is the best way for this squad to play.

We looked more threatening, more potent and the players looked more comfortable with 442. Marshall and KAG looked much better. The players linked better and had good possession in dangerous areas far more often.

    2. Reeves brings something to the team.

He's light weight, contributes little when he has the ball and Aribo, while not the finished article, brings so much more energy, tackling, driving runs and goal threat.
I expect Wednesday interest in Holmes as well...

At least we'll get an inflated fee for him if Katrien's negotiating the fee.

Robinson's already got Holmes replacement lined up as part of the swap deal...
