Bowyer wants it on, Robinson wants it off. Idiot Karl.

Why? Obviously I'm not there but we play passing football and if the ball isn't rolling that will be a huge hindrance to us.

It's absolutely ridiculous that fans will have traveled up, spent money on that and potentially lodging, only for it to be called off an hour before kick off. And it's also ridiculous that a club in the football league, formerly of the Premier League, have a pitch that's in that kind of state. But Karl's job is to do what he thinks will help us win games.
As an ex prem team we would never have a pitch like, or a game abandoned after kickoff or several games postponed.

Oh, hang on a minute, we had all of these !!
  • Reasonable turn out at the in-ground memorial. Got to feel for Jimmy Armfield's family though.

Pitch didn't look too bad to me

So it was Solly who was going to miss out.

It's a long way back to Blackpool on a wet Wednesday night in March.

The last thing Robinson would want is to have to re-arrange this match in the middle of a fixture pile-up.
We've still got the Shrewsbury match to re-arrange, remember.

If MKD win today in the cup, we will play the Blackpool game on 5th round day I imagine

That is one of the problems with football - both palying at 4pm or tomorrow sound sensible suggestions in a game where there are clearly no major policing issues - both sets of fans are drinking with each other FFS! So what would the reason for not applying common sense be? My money is there isn't a reason, it is just what it is!

Blackpool have got Peterborough that weekend.

Louis - which member of the Oysten family is now the chairman ? It’s a little hard to keep up.

The whole situation is very odd. A bucket of sand in that corner of the pitch would probably have done the trick.

The pitch would have been regarded as pristine in the 70s. Granted times have changed but all the same ....

And didn't Robbo mention Marshall also?

I wish the bloke would speak English more clearly, it's a big bleddy challenge to make out what he's actually saying.

He said Sullay rather than Solly, I believe! Marshall was the one who missed out for personal reasons.

They did it for the Munster rugby match last week - just delayed kick off by a couple of hours as no more rain forecast and gave pitch time to dry out a bit. But that is common sense - sadly lacking too often when it comes to football and especially any consideration for fans.

Sorry for the traveling Cafc tribe having to spend a rainy afternoon on the murky mile but for our ball playing attacking players, Dasilva, Stephy, Fosu, JFC and Aribo etc we need a decent surface. We don't want to play on the beach against Donkeys. The real McCoyski would be crooked after 1 match without gracing the valley if that game had gone on today. Serendipity rules KO.

    And Blackburn still losing.

We could do with a Pompey equaliser to peg back Shrewsbury.

I am happy for Shrewsbury and Blackburn to win. I don't want Blackburn anywhere near the play offs. I still think they will finish above Shrewsbury. Pompey are a potential rival for a play off place so no points is best. Just need Southend to score a late winner and a great day for us in terms of other results.
