A certain Dalvin Cook is back, incase you missed it.
Cook was clocked at 22.07mph during that run. It's the fastest speed reached by any ball carrier this season. His first game back from a hamstring injury as well.
Sounds crazy, but it is clear to me other teams are slowly starting to figure Mahomes out. In the first four games he had 14TDS and zero pics. In the last 5 games? 12 TDS and 6 pics. He has more interceptions than any QB the last five games. Yeah, he is still outstanding, but I think by the playoffs, he will be just enough less good that the Chiefs get beat.
I've seen this before. The Chargers of the early 80s with Fouts. The Dolphins with Marino in the mid to late 80s. In the end, defense wins Championships. The Chiefs don't have one.
If the Bears had Mack god knows what that score would’ve been.
The Bears QB is their weakness. He is a poor man's Blake Bortles and he will keep them from glory just like Bortles does.
This is a very definitive statement for a second year QB who currently has the 11th/12th best (including or not including Fitzmagic) QBR this year...
Yes, but a big part of that is the one game he had 6 TDs. Take that game out as a career one-off (which I am happy to do as he will never do that again) and his rating would be in the bottom quartile of the NFL. In 4 of his 8 games he has a QB rating under 80, with a 5th game of 83. And against the three good teams he has played (GB, SEA, NE) his ratings were 77, 83, 69. Once he is in the playoffs, I believe he will go bust. Bortles has put up good numbers by the stats in the regular season too but it becomes obvious that JAX has no chance to ever win the big one as long as he is behind center. I think Mitch is the same. It's an early call, as he is young, but I just don't feel it with MT.

Very true about that career game. Regarding the ratings against the three good teams he's played, I think that goes to show just how important it is to consider all players and units - there was a win, a 1 point and a 7 point loss there.
This is where I think the hate on Bortles as the sole reason the Jags look like complete shite (which we currently do) is unfair (though equally I think we need to try and draft a QB). Last year, the play calling absolutely screwed us in the AFCCG. Run up the middle, run up the middle, incomplete pass, punt for the entire second half. Trubisky doesn't need to do much more than game manage. There was a concerning stat about how often he favoured throwing only to the right hand side of the field this is the post in question and that can be remedied by coaching... But ultimately it's way too early to claim he'll be more of a Bortles than a Brees (to be alliterative).
Saints beating the Rams 35-17 at Half Time. As a Saints fan I'm enjoying this. The Rams are a very good team and Goff is a fine Quarterback, but is there a better QB around at the moment than Drew Brees even including the likes of Brady & Rodgers? He is absolute quality.

They really are not figuring Mahomes out. Today's pick was a hail mary with seconds to play in the first half. The pick didn't matter so they let Mahomes go for it. Mahomes is still growing and learning. The other picks are growing pains and occurred because he was forcing a pass into a window that didn't exist. To a certain extent the Chiefs are deliberately holding Mahomes back. We get the lead and basically run the ball for most of our recent fourth quarter plays. His numbers could be higher!
Mahomes has been brilliant but it is coach Reid's play calling and the offensive choices available (Hunt, Kelce, Watkins, Hill etc) that are going to make us tough to stop. History does say that the Chiefs will fall well short of the Superbowl and I can't disagree with that. But Mahomes is the real deal.
What annoys me about the modern day NFL is it is so rare to go deep anymore. I like that Mahomes throws it deep downfield now and then. But in 40 passes in the first half so far tonight between Brady and Rodgers, only two completions are beyond 19 yards. Thats 5%. Short pass after short pass just puts me to sleep. Go deep now and then!
Very happy this morning. Statement win from the Chargers? First AFC team to go into Seattle and win in 13 attempts. Previous years I would’ve been certain we would lose even at 26-10 up.
I want to see Bears beat a good team, and then I'm happy to fully buy into this!
The Bears have a very easy run in. The only top teams they have to play are the Rams and the injury plagued Vikings. Win one of the Minnesota games and they should be through.

They should have beaten the Packers once already and I'm not completely sold on the Vikings. They also play the Lions twice and the Giants.

Yeah, fair - I need to get the 'old' Bears out of my head a bit, Rams is close to a guaranteed loss and we'll bottle at least a couple of the 5 divisional games we have which would take our L-column to 6. Giants and 49ers at are a slam dunk.
It hinges on those two Vikings games, really. Do well in those and 9-7 may be good enough, and we really should get that.

From memory only the Rams and Texans don’t have Charlton Life support
