You can't be anything but supportive with these two Charlton legends, and it should bring about a great atmosphere on Saturday. We now live in hope that Roland does complete the sale quickly. Onwards and upwards.
Wouldn't call Bowyer a legend
Along with Rob Lee he is the best teenager I have ever seen in a Charlton shirt. He's a legend in my book.
Totally agree with the playing comment Legend is banded around easily these days though

I think Gomez was/is better than Bowyer.
Hahaha
Gomez is half the age of Bowyer and has twice the number of England caps...

England caps nowadays are handed out like confetti. Gomez by the way is quality
If Paul Elliott is indeed to be our new chairman, I would have thought he would have had a say in who was appointed. On that basis I would be happy with the appointment.
Bowyer on his first training session as Charlton Caretaker, Plymouth, Karl Robinson and Addicks play-off chances
Lee Bowyer took his first training session as the club’s Caretaker Manager and spoke to cafc.co.uk about his plans.
The full interview is available on Valley Pass.
On being appointed
“I’m ready for the challenge, it is a new challenge for me and I’m excited about it."
On if there will be a change in playing style
“Football is a game of opinions and I’m going to come in and if I’m going to be in charge, which I am, then I’m going to do it my way. I’m positive and I’m looking forward to that."
On his first training session
“It was good. The lads were good, the tempo was good, the finishing was good and then we played a few little games at the end and it was very sharp. The lads came off and said they enjoyed it, it was a good tempo.”
On how the Addicks play-off chances
“We’ve got 10 games left and if you can win seven of those 10, hopefully all 10, but if we win seven of the 10 then we’ll be in the play-offs. Then if we’re in the play-offs it is in our own hands. I think over two legs we’ll beat any of the teams that are in the play-offs and then the final is what it is. We all want to get promotion that is why we are here, no-one more so than me.”
On preparation for Saturday’s game against Plymouth
“We prepare the best way we can. You look at their strengths, you look at their weaknesses. We’ll put out a side to win the game. Again you need a bit of luck in any match but I’m excited for Saturday. I think the lads will be right up for it. Hopefully the crowd will get right behind us and get the place rocking. We’ve got 10 games to go, we need the crowd to be behind us, especially the home games because we’ve got all the big teams that are above us to come to The Valley. We win all of those games and then obviously we are in the play-offs.”

On his message to the fans
“Get behind us and be patient with the lads. I know recently it has been difficult but the lads are going to be trying. They are going to be giving 100 per cent, I guarantee them that. Just hang in there and get behind us and we’ll be fine.”
On Karl Robinson following this morning’s news of his departure
“I wish him all the best, and good luck. For me I’m grateful to him for bringing me back here, I think he’s left the team in a good place, just outside the play-offs. It’s a lot better than when he came, I wish him all the best and hopefully I can finish off what he started.”
The full interview is available on Valley Pass.
Today's Behind the Scenes at The Training Ground episode will be available on Valley Pass later this evening.

from expecting a crap game with a crap finish I have a feeling that regardless of outcome we will see more effort and endeavour and certainly more and better attacking on display from us. Yes let’s get out of our cynicism and get behind the team on saturday win, lose or draw and in the depths of adversity you never know what may happen. At least Argyle wont know what to expect unlike if Robinson was still in charge.
Comments
still love him though
Gomez by the way is quality
It was announced this morning that Lee Bowyer would replace Karl Robinson. His first interview as Caretaker Manager is available here.
