I'm getting old too. I recognised him for half a second then forgot who he was.

Not many people in this day and age would take a penalty with a broken leg in what was the most important game in his career! Legend!

Robinson had a broken leg against Sunderland?

Big fan of John Robinson, I interviewed him during our title winning season to get back to the Premier League at the first attempt, but I never would've recognised him.

Saw it on the club’s Instagram and thought “shit! Our new owner!!” And then read the description and then “holy shit... that’s Johnny Robinson!”
  • I loved John Robinson as a kid. My first few seasons of games I went too it was all about him and Bowyer. He's put of timber on though hasn't he?

"Who's that eating pies, who's that eating pies, Johnny Johnny Robinson, Johnny Johnny Robinson!"

To be fair, he's only trying to fit in with the locals in America

Apparently. Maybe the description is a bit vivid but for sure he was carrying some kind of fracture.

Never knew that... I always thought that he'd only JUST recovered in time for the match yet wasnt fully fit enough which was why Curbs didnt pick him to the start of the match
