You'll be back on here next week saying you have not received the ticket.golfaddick said:
Just had a very interesting conversation with the ticket office. I usually buy my ticket on-line & print it off at home. Golfie Jnr has a season ticket & I usually by the seat next to him (my old season ticket which I haven't renewed for the past 2 seasons). I was not aware that the tickets are now on restricted sale until I tried booking mine this afternoon.clive said:The match is now classified as a 'Gold Game' with increased ticket prices on restricted sale.

Realising that they weren't on the system I assumed that they had been "pulled" & rang the ticket office. My usual seat looks like it has gone so I bought the one directly behind (I expect to be able to shuffle a few people around or for both of us to sit somewhere else on the day as our block normally has plenty of empty seats).
However, I was not prepared for the £2.50 booking fee. I told the very pleasant young lady that as I have always bought my ticket on-line (which they can check) AND that they can see the season ticket next to the seat I wanted to purchase was in the name of my son AND it was their decision to withdraw the sale of tickets online that I wasn't going to pay this surcharge. 3 times she apologised & said that she understood (er, no you don't) but there was nothing she could do, Tickets booked over the phone & not online are subject to a booking fee. I quite strongly suggested that she'd better go & speak to someone as this would be all over the internet in 5 minutes if she insisted on the surcharge. She came back a minute or two later to say that the surcharge would be waived. Common sense prevailed.
I suggest the comms team or someone in authority (the tea lady ??) had better sort this asap or there might be a few more people getting irate over the next few days.
If anyone knows the young lady in question then please thank her for me. I don't apologise for sticking to my guns - I wasn't rude or abusive & didn't raise my voice - just simply stated very strongly that I wasn't going to pay the surcharge & that anyone could se that I wasn't a Blackburn supporter (they have my name & address on file).1 -
Pleased we are not allowing them in our stands.
Things seem to be running well at the club now.
Hope the tea lady gets a bonus!2 -
You can pry my tartan blanket from my cold dead hands.7

Can't see the problem, we won't need the tickets & if the club can make some money why not. Blackburn could have say, the North & South & Charlton The East & West, that way no segregation problems.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:If we lose on Saturday then there won't be an issue. If we're still in with a shout of the playoffs then we shouldn't be allocating more tickets.

no extra tickets to be made available just the northern bastards that have already purchased.0

I'm sick of other teams taking over chunks of The Valley so they can have a party.
You do realise, that any pitch invasion, by Blackburn OR Charlton fans will prevent Jacko leading the team around for the last time?3 -
thankfully the club have stated no more tickets will be made available.East_Stand_Loopy said:I'm sick of other teams taking over chunks of The Valley so they can have a party.

Great. But last year the pitch invasion was by CHARLTON fans...palarsehater said:

i know and i was part of it, in fairness that was in relation to the that owns us, which is still the case and tbh the survival of our club is more important than seeing johnnie walk round the pitch we kind of said our goodbyes last season.East_Stand_Loopy said:

When you say 'all over the internet' do you actually just mean an angry post on Charlton Life?golfaddick said:

I thought that you could buy on-line if you had an account, which you must have to have bought previously, so why couldn't you this time? Confused.golfaddick said:

Just seen you can't. How ridiculous, if you have an account surely you should be able to buy on-line.1 -

Thankfully Blackburn fans understand the decision and have been dignified in their responses.19

more chance of them going with the chicken fuckers hanging around - possibly one of the most awful places i have visited and ive been there 3 times! possibly the coldest ive ever been at a football match think it was in december a few years back remember there were really bad floods.CAFCTrev said:Thankfully Blackburn fans understand the decision and have been dignified in their responses.

What I love is the fact that in the Premier League, I remember games we played against them where they took up a BLOCK in the Jimmy Seed Stand with the rest of that end being Charlton supporters

The genius Lang clearly not been keeping abreast of League One matters outside Blackburn - as for going bust, declining the opportunity to sell a thousand or so extra tickets to a late season fixture ain't gonna be having any impact on Charlton's going concern: the rat could quite plausibly pull the plug at any moment.CAFCTrev said:Thankfully Blackburn fans understand the decision and have been dignified in their responses.

I can - it will sell me multiple tickets in my name but none for my other half, even though she’s been identified as a ticket holder numerous times this season. No idea of the logic behind that.LargeAddick said:https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5ad61a7a65044/tickets-for-home-fixture-against-blackburn-go-on-restricted-sale

On the bright side, I finally learned you can chose a seat on your mobile by turning it landscape, just not holding it portrait. No instructions or user guide, you just have to work it out for yourself. Weird.0 -
Haha...classy! Didn’t realise Blackburn were so well supported these days. Just checked and they got 13k at home against Southend the other week. We are well and truly in their shadow.CAFCTrev said:Thankfully Blackburn fans understand the decision and have been dignified in their responses.

Their average attendance is 587 better than ours... In a Stadium thats 4,256 bigger than oursYTS1978 said:

So when you put it into context...
- Blackburn on average have filled 38% of their Ground their season
- Charlton on average have filled 42% of their Ground...8
