Thing is Jessie I think you, me and your parents are probably right - he has a lot of talent yes, but one goal no matter how well struck doesn't change that he has under-performed too many times in the last few years. France have scored two penalties and had two wicked deflections go their way for their only tournament goals. Combined with their poor friendlies coming in to the tournament, I haven't been convinced by them at all.
Argentina were worse of course but the momentum built from their last gasp qualification against Nigeria is squeezing them past this uninspiring French team as it stands.2 -
