Great to see Brazil play like real Brazil in the Six added minutes.
But why did they play like Birmingham city for the first 90 minutes ?

This is why Neymar will never be one of the greats. He's talented but in the end just a bit of a cheat.

Hasn't stopped Ronaldo being one of the greats.
He's toned it down massively since he was younger.

I remember Ronaldo playing at the Valley, way back when we used to be good. He was running rings around us but still felt the need to chuck himself to the deck every chance he could. It looked like Roy Keane actually told him to pack it in at one point it was so embarrassing.

Being the age I am I remember the greats from the 60's, 70's & 80's. They must have been ashamed to be Brazilian on that showing. South American football and the Samba beat has gone backwards not improved.

Couldn’t wear yellow as it clashes with the colour of Neymar’s tears.

Brazil haven't been the same since the likes of Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho in 2006.

Gareth Southgate on the media 'leaking' England's starting XI vs Panama.

“Obviously any time, if we were to give the opposition the opportunity of having our team it’s a disadvantage to us. So of course our media has to decide if they want to help the team or not.” https://t.co/B5XVg68OOk

Just shows how desperate these journalists are to get a scoop even to the detriment of their own country. Wankers the lot of ‘em.

Kish helped him to the deck a few times in one game.

There was a cracking YouTube video of 'Ronaldo at The Valley' at one point, which was basically Kish crunching him into the advertising every two minutes. One of my very favourites.

uugghh that cringy thunder clap again. I bloody hate Iceland so much - what does it tell you that they are making a team like Nigeria look ultra attacking in comparison... i'm so conflicted because I really want Argentina to get knocked out..

Probably a directive from Nike so they can sell some shirts.

Unless they play Australia or Sweden in a later round they don't ever need to wear it.

    Or not
  • The media taking photos of our tactics earlier is probably one of the most pissed off I’ve been in relation to football news. More than the Yann sale etc. I knew what they’re all about but Southgates really thrown a line to the media and so far it’s been great. Then they do that. Fucking cunts.

I completely agree with you and there's simply no reason for the press to do it, in fact they've been called out on it by a lot of people and Southgate and Walker also mentioned it in their press conference today.

However, this seems to happen EVERY tournament so to be honest if i was Southgate or his assistant i'd be wandering about with a team sheet that deliberately had a few reserves listed just to put them off and make them look stupid for publishing it
