With Leeds going up, Nottingham forest are now the "biggest" team in one of the highest value and most competitive leagues in the world. Lyle Taylor plays for them and will be paid handsomely for doing so.
They will more than likely be in the mix for promotion again and if they do well he has a chance of ending his career in the Premier League.
No-one knows what club he would have hoped for, but I'd suggest Nottingham Forest would have been pretty high up on the list, on the basis that few if any PL sides would take a punt on a 30 year old who over the course of a 13 year career has played less than half a season above Division 3 level.
I hope he gets the chance to play once more at The Valley just so that he can understand his legacy, but let's not kid ourselves that he has somehow not got what he hoped for - I think he got exactly that.
His agent must be laughing getting him a 3 year deal
Don't think it's quite the move he imagined it to be and think he'll probably still be gutted he didn't get the move to Brentford in January but just glad we can all forget about him now
He'll no doubt be on a decent wage and he's at a much bigger club than Brentford.
Him and Grabban will be a very good strike pairing at that level.

It’s not likely to be announced for awhile, it’s likely been done, hence his stance. The player will want to wait so that he justifies his decision to not play.
Lived in Nottingham for 15 years from 1990 to 2005, my wife's family are all Forest fans so no doubt I'll get to hear about how much 'bigger' they are than little old Charlton and he chose the bigger and better club (my Mrs by the way is the black sheep of her family and supports Notts County). I hope he is a dramatic fail....but sadly I don't think he will be. As for property in and around Nottingham he could get a very decent property in the village of 'Ravenshead' with huge gardens etc for the money he will be on, compared to what he could get in London.
Remember watching the Forest home game on holiday, in a tiny bar in Seville. We looked like a play off contender in the first half and it felt the last few years were behind us. Taylor was on fire that night.
How times change eh?
He’ll go down as one of my favourite CAFC strikers but it’s been totally ruined by his utterly despicable morals.
Yeah ESI dicked him around. But as others have said, he was happy to take the wages after getting injured playing for his country.
Just as well he didnt play anymore for us,couldnt risk missing out on a super duper massive deal to a team that didnt make the play offs last season. Snake. 1 goal Lyle, just 1 goal.
Football at the end of the day is a game that brings pleasure to millions around the world. Its not just a job. Its not just about money. Its a lot more than that. Another one for the duck's back, you're a coward Taylor.
So he admits what he did can be seen as morally, ethically or legally wrong - without offering a response to if he thinks any of those are right - and then basically shrugs his shoulders and says he did it anyway. Yep, that's Lyle. He was a very good striker for us for one season. Then he was a good striker for the start of the next season before being out injured for long enough that it derailed our survival. Then he decided he didn't fancy seeing out his contract and bailed. In a way it's a perfect summary of Lyle as the person you get; he's great at scoring goals but what you get with it is a person who makes shitty decisions and doesn't feel any remorse when he does. He's gone now; we'll find it hard to replace his goals, but we also won't have to put up with him baiting his own fans on Twitter and Instagram anymore, so we can take the little victories.
Shame its taken him this long to come out with that statement!!
Almost like he had to wait for a new club to sign him so he could come out and say that he was right to make the decision he did because Nottm Forest are the proof
I don't generally wish I'll on people but I wouldn't be at all upset if Taylor went off to play for Montserrat and did that horrible thing to his knee, the name of which I can't tember at the moment, and was out for a long time.

I suspect he thought he'd under up somewhere better than Forest.

Is it too late to ask for a refund?
