Forest manager was known last season for playing 4-2-3-1 at home and 4-3-3 away
So unless he changes formation Taylor is only gonna play away games and maybe the last 20 minutes at home if Grabben gets tired, just don't see him having a massive impact.
Also lets face it at AFC Wimbledon he was number 1 striker At Charlton he was number 1 striker
Someone with his ego wont handle being number 2 striker, probably not on penalty duty either
To be honest, at the time I was disappointed rather than angry, but given how things played out that seriously pisses me off. Particularly the bit about especially thanking the manager, given that his decision not to play made Bowyer's job significantly harder, both at the time and now we've been relegated.
One thing I would say is if we do end up playing him again, the last thing we should be doing is giving him the treatment, because he thrives on that. Instead big up our own forwards, no matter how shit they may be, and save the boos and chants of "there's only one gutless wanker" for when he gets subbed off.
If some of their fans don’t comment on how they do not want him after refusing to play for us and basically relegating us I will have a very low opinion of them
So bigger and better to Karlan Grant is Huddersfield town. They just happened to be in a more fortunate position. I.e having a half decent good owner. Forest haven’t been in the top flight for over 20 years. There was a time for recently when there was 2 divisions separating us.
So because we are down on our luck it’s ok for us fans to be treated like crap and completely disrespected just because we don’t have any money.
Change of circumstances, even if we was in league one mid table before his contract ran out and he refused to play but we was at least safe and he bizarrely didn't want to risk injury.
I'd personally still think...bit weird. What an absolute wanker.
The money will be, would imagine he's at least doubled what he was on with us, probably more.
So he goes from being very rich to very very rich.
Yes he gets richer but I wouldn't say it's life changing money when he already has a comfortable life anyway.
It could easily be going from something like £6k a week to £25k a week. Over a three year contract that'll make a real difference to his life in the future. It'll likely be his only big contract of his career and he's probably not going to stay in football when he retires given he only sees it as a job.
Not defending what he did of course, at the very least he should have played the three games in June, but I can see why he'd describe it as life changing.
Probably reading too much in to it but players like Bonne, Pearce and Williams haven’t reacted to Taylor’s post on Instagram, makes you think if they’re the ones who are pissed with his attitude. Only a few younger players and ex players have actually reacted to it wishing him well.
If that's a dig at CAFC then he needs to remember how Bowyer supported him at Peteboro when he took that awful penalty that ultimately cost the club a spot in the autos.
He also needs to realise that Charlton are a bigger club than HTFC!!!

I appreciate you're comment is a bit tongue in cheek, but I would say us and Huddersfield are around the same level, so while Grant may now be in a higher league etc, he's hardly setting the world alight enough for a 'bigger and better' dig.
I don’t think anyone is annoyed he didn’t sign another contract - it’s the refusal in playing in games that he was contracted to do so and condemning us to relegation.
As for grant - the fella has always been a bit of a dick imo
any Charlton fan wishing Taylor well - is also a bit of a dick.
For me personally I hope he has an injury 1st game out
Please don't. The only reason to close a thread is because the content risks the integrity or existence of the forum, or if the content is already fully and singularly captured in another thread.
Anyone that doesn't like the principle or content of a thread can simply not read it. There are hundreds of threads on this forum that I don't read because the content doesn't interest me. At no point would I consider asking the "mods" to close them down.
As with many others, I'm enjoying this thread and understanding different views on Taylor's actions and the implications for him and us.

I don't think any Charlton fans have actually wished him well. That is a lie.
We just got relegated. Our best player simply just casually out in the open refused to play. No one at the club would actually wish him well.
It's disgusting.
Only reason why you might not want to be a professional footballer would be the unbelievable amount of pressure seeing 15,000 people watching every move you make.
He didn't even have that problem.
He doesn't care about the club at all.
If he wasn't a moron he would have used the games as a tool to at least attempt to get match fit and improve himself before his next move.

Let's move on, Taylor's in the past.
B@llocks to him.

He still done wrong with his actions.

Yep, and I’m prepared to slap the first Lifer who posts ‘Guess who just scored for Forest’ on any upcoming match threads.
We’re still having discussions about Tony Watt to this day!
The point is he could have played out his contract and got that anyway.
He also needs to realise that Charlton are a bigger club than HTFC!!!
