Disgraceful and utterly predictable. The sset stripping continues, just as it did at Standard before he sold that club on.
I read that "most" people don't rate him, so they are not bothered. Probably the same people who didn't rate Pope. Bolton on the other hand, presumably have noticed that he does just fine for N.Ireland, playing against defences which are way better than anything in Div. 3. Like, you know, Germany. But of course with NI he has a lot of higher quality team-mates, and a shared sense of purpose. He will turn out to be excellent value for Bolton, because you can be sure the fee is derisory, with no sell-ons that RD cannot easily bank.
Agree. Not the most gifted footballer but would chase lost causes (and by Christ we as a club are certainly that) and his effort for the team cannot be denied.
20 goals in 88. Not the worst player I've witnessed up front for Charlton but any decent fee (according to the current owner) will be taken regardless of how it leaves the squad, which is now 19.
I wish Josh all the best, my boy is gutted he loved him after meeting him at Diggerland last summer where he was nothing other than a gent.
1 in 4 for a car crash team that we have been recently is not to be sniffed at and at 27 I think his best years are ahead of him, he will be missed when the inevitable injuries happen and we are playing a 14 year old up front
Josh Magennis is a very exciting acquisition for the club and has been on our radar for quite some time. He’s a hard-working player who will cause problems for our opponents with his pace and power.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to clear up some confusion about Charlton’s Patrick Bauer. As we were concluding the deal for Josh we were made aware that Blackburn were interested in Bauer. We enquired as to how much Charlton valued Bauer at and that is where we left it. We certainly made no bid for the player.
I wouldn't say Josh is the best footballer we have ever had, but as he himself would say, not the worst. However he is comfortably in the top echelon of players we have had in terms of graciousness and articulation, his interviews were always a great listen, and he knows the value of a decent team ethic full well. he was the first player to congratulate Sarr for his goal against Brighton, just as he is usually the first to congratulate other goalscorers and positive play. I see him as a genuine guy, very likeable, and handy with a long throw too, a far cry from what I can discern Ajose to be. Good luck Josh, keep on keeping on and being yourself.

So we're still trying to sell Bauer then :-(
They were made aware Blackburn were interested.
Not that Charlton were selling thats 2 differents things
Shows have far this great club has declined when there is such a feeling of loss for a player that isn't fit to lace Yann's boots. Sums up the complete farce of these utterly painful years for me.

Roland Out Today.
Enjoyed watching you play for us and the effort you put in.
Which are qualities to admire in a footballer.

Not a goalscorer but I hope he does well under Parky at Bolton. A very good manager, who knows what he’s doing
