See the second half being risky yet see Sarr on for Page at some stage which'll add some added height into the box
Both Ajose and RHF could appear yet both have been set the standard and will seriously need to do well to get in ahead of Grant and Taylor
Id be surprised if Maloney came on yet he too would need to do well if he wants to stake a place in the starting eleven with Lapslie having a pretty solid "7" at the moment
Really need to step out second half and attack them. Letting them come on to us is only going to end one way. Get a second and I think that Sunderland fans will turn

Wonder if Pratley and Taylor will finish the game given they were both said to be not match fit earlier in the week
Is KAG/Grant forgiven now that he’s playing well and we need him? Do the people who claimed they didn’t want him playing for the team again even if he was innocent still feel the same? Genuine questions.
Sorry to interupt, hope all well with all of you. In Sittingbourne, need to find a pub with the game on...... Been to Bunters, am in the Vineyard, both put 403 (sky sports football channel)but only get getting Sky Sports News. TIA. P xx
Try Main Event Channel
Thank you, did as suggested, bar staff laughed as they typed 401......as if Charlton would be a main even........
Better team first half but, basically, it's whether we have the legs for the second half. Threadbare bench but will need to use it. In Bowyer we trust.
Would love it if Bowyer launched into a Keegan style interview post match - “our owner may be nowhere to be seen, selling players from under me, hijacking the club - but let me tell you - we’re still fighting!!”
Obv he would get sacked so wouldn’t but would be quality!

Yeh they'd be the obvious changes in about 20mins for me
Really good first first half of the season. We had them pinned back for most of the first 25-30 minutes or so. We look tidy on the ball but we've also been good at getting it to the feet of our forwards, who have been giving their central defenders nightmares.
Last ten we dropped deeper and deeper and while Pearce and Bauer are good at defending in their own area, we left a lot of space on the flanks and in front of our midfield for them to exploit.
I do think we're helped by the fact that Sunderland are look to come at us, looking to attack and throw numbers forward, and generally trying to play football. It's created space for our forwards to isolate and run at their defenders. There will be harder days to come when teams sit 10 behind the ball to stop that space.
But for now I've been really impressed at our off the ball movement. In our best performances under Bowyer, namely the first 3-4, we were so good at attacking in waves and moving for each other to both get runners in the box and also to create space for others. Credit to Lapslie (in addition to the forwards) for doing a lot of unselfish running.
I fear there are harder days to come, but this is a really good start.
Taylor and KAG look a handful, Pratley and Lapsie playing well, Aribo class above everyone he won’t be here for long. Page good going forward but we look a bit suspect defensively at times. Bauer caught ball watching and giving away silly fouls. Looked tired in the last 10 mins. Have a rest and go at these, the crowd will go quiet and they will make mistakes.
Currently sat on the sofa with a stinking virus, not eaten or slept for 2 days and had to pinch myself incase I was hallucinating. That first half cheered me right up.
A fit Fosu in this side and we have a very decent and well organised first eleven. But We simply have no depth. That first half was as good an away performance as I’ve seen for a while and we should be at least a couple up. That said I will feel confident about winning the game when we are at least two up in added time because I just have a feeling that it’s all going too well. That comes from follow charlton for years I suppose. Bookings and injuries will cost us dear as the season progresses unless we get a hatful of signings this week. Having said that, three points today would be an unexpected bonus. Squeaky bum second half coming up I suspect.
Sitting with my Sunderland friends who are very depressed. We look a handful, but need that second goal. Grant and Taylor look a dangerous combination. Pratley offers the steel we’ve been missing. Lapslie’s lively too.

The break will help a bit but I still suspect tired legs all around by 70 minutes.
Oh !
Thank you, knew someone at CL would help.
Got to withstand the early second half onslaught.

Darren Bent on sky as well! Great first half
