Copa del Rey tonight with some great David v Goliath ties like Sant Andreu v Atletico and Ebro v Valencia then a very interesting one later this week in Solari's first match as Real Madrid manager when they travel to Africa for their match against Melilla (Spanish enclave in Morocco). Hopefully see some upsets!
Great season and title race. Atletico should really be capitalising on Real's poor season and Barcelona dropping points but have drawn too many games. Great result for them against Bilbao last night though.
Really good to see some different teams up there as well, with Alaves in third and Espanyol could go second if they win today. Definitely counters the lazy assumption that it is a predictable league.

Sid Lowe has been saying much the same in his regular slot on the Guardian Football Weekly Podcast.
Went to the Barca game earlier.Betis were excellent . Could of had 6 or 7. Barca on the other hand were terrible at the back. Made for a terrific game though
Big match tonight that will go a long way to deciding the title - Atletico vs Barcelona at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid. Win for Barca and it's going to be very hard for anyone to catch them; win for Atletico and it will be completely wide open, with Sevilla up there as well and Real Madrid recovering under Solari after their abysmal start to the season. Really hope Atletico can win tonight!
Honestly thought Madrid would pull together and play more as a team without focusing on just getting the ball to Ronaldo. Couldn't have been more wrong, they're an absolute mess. Which still baffles me as even without Ronaldo they still have Bale, Benzema, Isco, Asensio, Modric and Kroos so should be doing miles better than they are.
Courtois coming in for a lot of stick on social media, he's been a disaster so far. To be fair there was absolutely no need to sign him and drop Navas.
Shame Atletico couldn't hold on to the lead but it keeps it very tight at the top. Sevilla could go top if they win today and Espanyol could potentially go second. It's the most interesting title race for quite a few years.
I actually thought the Girona bubble might burst this season but they have the Liga's leading goalscorer in Stuani, and currently sit on the Edge of the Europa league places. Did they take many there?
Chance for Sevilla to stay in first place if they win at Alaves tonight but with Barcelona and Atletico also playing today the pressure is on.
Meanwhile, I'm at Union Adarve vs Celta Vigo B in the third division at the moment on a cold Madrid morning but a lively and enthusiastic crowd at Madrid's fourth biggest senior team.

Anyone watching the Barcelona game? They are on fire. If Messi is classed as the 5th best in the world then stone me the other 4 must be superhuman too.
Performances like this don't even surprise you anymore, people almost expect it as the norm. The free kick he scored was brilliant, perfect in the top corner, curling away from the keeper. He couldn't have placed it any better.

Real title race on this season.

During the press conference to introduce him he stopped to thank the club for hiring him....Only problem is he thanked their rivals instead.
He thanked “Real Club Deportivo” before quickly changing it to “Real Club Celta”.
Whoops
Costa scoring from a corner.
Atletico will go top tonight.
An interesting article about Marko Dmitrovic's team Eibar, recent 3-0 conquerors of Real Madrid.
