Apparently it all kicked off on Twatter with Ice T slagging off Katie Hopkins as she doesn’t think there should be a black Bond. My favourite Bond is always the most recent one and favourite Bond actor is Pierce Brosnan. Favourite Bond theme - because I have seen him play it live - Live and Let Die. I'd be happy with any British actor playing Bond. I think Idris Elba would be great.
Of course, all this pales into insignificance when you remember that the very best Bond movie, and one that shouldn't be remade, as it's perfect, despite casting an American as the lead, is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

In an interview I watched with Noel Gallgher he was talking about the very different way he created his last album. A genuinely brilliant album I'll add. He was getting off at Bermobdsey tube or somewhere to go to the studio and saw a poster for the hateful 8 film. Decided had right a song about the people on the poster, hadn't seen the film. Idris Elba is too old . If they announced that he was the new Bond tomorrow it would be at least 4 years before he would appear in a film and that would make him 49 or 50 .
