Slightly better episode but it still feels like it's missing the magic that the stronger series have. Something about this lineup just isn't clicking for me and I don't know if it's too many low energy people on one series.
Isy and Nina don't really seem to be taking very well to the studio bit, Richard's whole shtick is being a prickly asocial weirdo (which doesn't help the lineup as a whole), Matt and Chloe are trying but overall it feels a bit "going through the motions."

The bit last night where Chloe looked actually, genuinely irritated with their team sums it up really, where the best seasons have better competitor chemistry its totally missing this time.

Only that I watch this with my wife, I'd probably give up on this season

After thinking no one was competent enough to run away with this series , Chloe will probably have this wrapped up by Episode 8. This is the first group for a while that I'm massively struggling with and I think it's the complete lack of chemistry. I sit there wondering how much Matt Lucas actually wants to be there.

Feels like Nina would actually be fine if she had another kooky weirdo type she could bounce off , if you had say her and John Kearns in the same lineup it would probably work.
  • It's a shame as I like Richard, but he is not made for Taskmaster at all. Really poor contestant

Unfortunately I agree, and Isy doesn't really add anything, so it's a very mixed bag of a season. Won't be one to rewatch like the last couple.

Listened to Richard on the Taskmaster podcast, was hoping he might have being a bit more earnest on it but he seemed to be in full persona. No idea if he actually enjoyed his time on the show or not

Still never going to be a classic series but the last couple of episodes have definitely been better/funnier, Richard seems to have found a slightly different tack which works better for the show and Nina is getting better too, though Chloe is still very much the standout.

Yeah I don't think this will be one I come back to again but it's finally picking up.

Not seen this weeks yet, but agree not the best series (have probably missed 5 or 6 series though before the previous one though)

The 'fruit machine' task from last week was just baffling.
