I guess this geezer is over here to take the heat off of Roly, by fobbing of the fans with porkies, either that or he’s Belgium’s answer to Phil Spencer!
I like his style. And nobody has picked up in the fact that the ‘positive 5 potential buyers message’ update has been made just before a Charlton v Coventry match which, if memory serves me right, was a little bit eventful last time
There was a fair bit of discussion last night about RDs valuation of the club and trying to find equivalent clubs. I don’t know how valuable comparisons are but LdT seemed to need a bit of help in that area something we also touched on at the last meeting. E.g. Leeds who I explained were a bigger club with a bigger ground and fan base. Of course then you have to factor in finances behind that.

The one consolation from a statement full of nothingness is confirmation that the idiot from Forest won't be buying us.
If that man put the cash on the table all this "trust" nonsense would go out of the window pretty dam quick. When has the clubs owner ever thought of anything other than money and how to make more of it, (or in our case lose a shed load, which he is desperate to recoup).

Absolutely. One of his lakies put a picture on Twitter. Big deal.
So if the blarney is to be believed there are / have been a few interested parties.A couple of thoughts:
1) they are being put off and fucking off because of RDs egotistical in realistic asking price. 2) The biders ain't being put off by CARD as RDs recent rant spewed
Sing together peeps----- it's only 2weeks,it's only 2weeks
Played the new Fifa for the first time last night, Charlton were valued at under £5mil. Someone needs to get a copy for Roland, maybe that'll make him realise that the price he seems to be askign for is barmy, seemingly nothing else will.

It sounds as though Roland, true to type, has once more employed someone to do a job, who he personally trusts but who lacks relevant experience of the situation on the ground in England.
Scouts (eg Driesen), manager/head coaches (too many to list!), CEO (Meire), now LDT who may be an excellent bean counter but is coming across as someone who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing....
It all comes back to the incomprehension, incompetence & intransigence of our owner Duchatelet.

Indeed. He's messed up virtually everything else he has tried to handle through personal appointees at Charlton, so why wouldn't he get this wrong too?

Possibly but those others you mention are long term appointments, in this case the intention we assume was a short term tenure.
I also think valuing a football club might not be an easy task, there are so many factors to take into account.
Another factor I reminded him of is the clubs potential to have twice the number of bums on seats under different ownership.

I fear those days have gone. Certainly in League One. Potentially for quite some time.
Hearing what LdT says, he seems a lot more credible than his predecessor, of course that doesn't mean he is necessarily telling the truth in everything, I am pretty sure there is a fair amount of 'unicorn riding salesmanship' going on.
In terms of the sale RD is a stubborn wotsit and is not going to be mugged off on the valuation even if it costs him millions, and as we know it is. I am convinced however they want to sell, and this presents a dilemma not about protests (which I fully endorse), but around what value a boycott has.
I personally have never been a fan of them as I think they damage the club long term, but think on this. A more full ground with atmosphere on a regular basis is going to do more to help sell the club than a less full one.
On another note I made clear last night with general support from the FF that recent statements (around bottle and breakfast gates, etc) were counterproductive and helped no-one.
I asked if any of the interested party were involved in British football at any time, and LdT couldn't really answer claiming not enough knowledge of it. He was happy to rule out the Forest ex owner thankfully, although when asked about Mike Ashley he said MA (himself) has never signed an NDA with him (which is the first part of the process), but he left the door open saying sometimes he is dealing with 3rd party representatives so may not know the actual owner (trying to remember his exact words). He was non committal though so this must remain a rumour.
Access to the data room, is this fella locked in the 1970’s?
At the risk of a whoosh, a data room nowadays is generally information held securely online with access being granted by the seller to approved interested parties only. The term data room is a bit of a throwback to old days of physical documents in secure areas, though these do still exist to some extent.

Why do the published notes only reflect what the club says? If the FF is to have any credibility as a group it needs more than an account of discussions which only includes the club's perspective. If the club won't allow that the FF should publish its own version.

A good question, these takeover updates meetings are billed as updates, the format has been question and answer which is then compiled into a club statement. I try to add things so people see what kind of things we are saying.
LDT is fully aware of the close proximity of Leeds, it being near the castle just outside Maidstone. He passes it every Tuesday on the way up from Belgium.
Did anyone challenge this joker when he said the EFL is awaiting documents when Harvey himself has said this is not true?
This has been explained so many times and yet you still refuse to comprehend. The Aussies need to submit further paperwork to the EFL if they wish to proceed. The EFL have processed all paperwork submitted and are not the cause of any delay.

too busy as there was an important footie match on, don't you know.

The EFL have processed all paperwork submitted doesn't mean they have had all the paperwork that needs to be submitted.

Van Turkey Testicles just spouts a load of drivel.
Blah blah blah
Just sell the club and FUCK OFF
I put nothing on twitter on Wednesday. How dare he.
Surely with this many suitors it’s time to put the price up LDV?
