In terms of the sale RD is a stubborn wotsit and is not going to be mugged off on the valuation even if it costs him millions, and as we know it is. I am convinced however they want to sell, and this presents a dilemma not about protests (which I fully endorse), but around what value a boycott has.
I personally have never been a fan of them as I think they damage the club long term, but think on this. A more full ground with atmosphere on a regular basis is going to do more to help sell the club than a less full one.
100% agree about the boycotts, it was my opinion from the very start for what its worth. Look at the protests when we have had more people in the ground and the impact they had as opposed to the sorry state of the attendances now. Its going to be an uphill task to rebuild our crowds once Douchbag has left the club....we will see an improvement no doubt but like the Selhurst and Upton Park days, we are losing a generation of support the longer the boycott goes on.
Think many more fans have just drifted away rather than boycott. Getting crowds back up for whoever eventually owns the club is going to be a monumental task. That’s going to be Douchatelets legacy.
Getting fans up from a similar point to where they are now has been done before. I think we have a poster on here who may have a good idea how it was done!
I think it might be a bit more difficult this time. We're the lowest ranked side in London (+ Surrey), apart from Orient and last time around there wasn't the availability of cut price Premier football in Stratford
I missed Wimbledon going above us. And I don't think it'll be long before we are above at least QPR and Millwall unless Duchatelet f***s up in the January window
Two important takeouts there, for me. First, de Turck confirms what several of us have said, that "the price" is not a single knockout figure, it is influenced as he says by player sales and addons. To which I might add, possible irregular player contractual details exposed by due diligence.
For me that makes the scenario of "the Saudis" bidding £40 m and being knocked out by the Aussies bidding £40.5m, not credible. It is way too simplistic a portrayal of the sale of something like a club. It sounds like an auction of (ahem) a house.
Note also that only the Aussies reached the EFL stage. That helps focus our discussion with the EFL on 17 October, which I am greatly looking forward to attending.

We're relying on you to get to the bottom of this
We will prepare carefully and do our best. However we need to recognize that the EFL have been very reluctant to have such a meeting at all. We expect that they will seek to close down virtually any meaningful discussion by citing " commercial confidentiality." Fortunately we have the experience of successfully busting such a blanket excuse during the fight to get the Olympic Stadium contract released.
Any reason why these events aren't publicised in a wider forum to enable any specific issues from individuals or groups of fans to be raised at these meetings?

You are obviously not in the know...or needs to know

I should imagine the last thing they want is, people turning up and asking difficult questions.
