Attempt missed. Herbie Kane (Doncaster Rovers) right footed shot from outside the box is just a bit too high from a direct free kick.

If this finishes 0-0, Bowyer might regret not having Taylor on the bench

Less from 3,000 home fans there. Sad times but if the club treat it as a reserve game then what do you expect?

Listening to @LouisMend’s half time report while 38,000ft over Sakatchewan on my flight home - to think of the very best minds over the course of history, who developed the technological marvels that enabled this.

We have to keep RHF on because he's the only big man up front we have (unless we send Naby up)

...but there is just no way he's actually going to do anything. It's a weird sort of purgatory

More chance of Donny Osmond scoring than Donny Caster and no chance of charlton scoring. This will backfire on bowyer and there will be another replay to manage with a long midweek trek up north

What a waste of technology

Fairly even game although we are having trouble getting out of our half. Sarr and Marshall best for us, although Maloney has had some nice touches.
We have not really threatened up front, unsurprisingly. Could go either way.

7' Marshall gets down the right and his cross is deflected onto the roof of The Valley's control room. First time that's happened for many years.

Maloney hasn't improved since Mansfield away.

Is Billy Clarke looking any sharper today?
Not as rusty as the Mansfield replay

Feel sorry for the supporters who have gone today, very weak side. Only positives are Clarke, Reeves and Kennedy.

    One of two systems today:

    Phillips
    Marshall Dijksteel Sarr Stevenson
    Lapslie
    Reeves Maloney
    Clarke
    Ajose Hackett-Fairchild
    Is how we are playing.

When we get in the last third and move the ball quickly we look dangerous but we're not doing that very often.

Marshall having a good game and has skinned their full back at few times.

Ajose and Reeco working hard but isolated, Clarke looking sharper, Reeves poor, Dijksteel doing well at CB.

Game a bit dull shown by how we spent much of the time working out a prime minister's XI (check out the Donny team sheet for why).

Donny look more likely but neither keeper had much to do.

Afternoon from a miserable SE London

Unfortunately (imo) Bowyer has once again shown the Cup to very much be down the priority list. Shame

Best scenario (yet doubtful) is this ends in a draw with Portsmouth losing tomorrow

We then get drawn with Sunderland away in the FA Cup 3rd Round so happily lose to Doncaster so the re-arranged game against Pompey can be on 3rd Round day and so back on a Saturday

Sounds like our Reserves are doing fine.
As long as they don't draw Lee with be happy.
If it's still a draw with 5 minutes to go
I expect Phillips to come off and Sarpong-Wiredu to enter the fray.

Are Doncaster taking it as unseriously as us? If not the scoreline is a bit embaressing for them.

Charlton Athletic. Mostly bugger all for my entire life.
  • Charlton Athletic. The best known antidote to 'Cup fever'.
  • Big bowyer fan but he needs to be given a tough time in any press conference over disrespectful behavior to fans and the fa cup

Being in the third rd draw should mean more to him than anything else
