Big test for him now, as in the PL there was little expectation on him really, as Hudds were pretty much down.

Next season will be different, as there will be some expectation on him to do well, and the fans will be expecting to be up challenging for the top six.

As we know only too well, the season after relegation from the PL can be testing in more ways than one.
If he's got the right players around him and Hudds play to his strengths, he'll do well.

Except against us if we go up

Think I’d still rather be at Hudders at this moment in time - stable club and a decent owner giving his players stable contracts. He might still get another Premier League move based on the goals he scored in a very poor team.

But now he is in the same general place we are. And he missed a great promotion moment and instead experienced a relegation.

I doubt he regrets the move. Scored goals and was widely praised for his performances.

Lets not forget his part in our season though

Late goals against Plymouth and Shrewsbury helped to get us in this position just as much as the goal that Pearce scored against Wycombe etc.

And the missed penalty at Peterborough.

Yeah and Taylor's missed penalty against Rochdale could have given us a point or even three that'll have put us joint points with second

At least Grant rescued us when Taylor missed a penalty against Plymouth too

So Jed Steer will/ may get two playoff winners medals from Championship and League 1.
Well done Jed, not much between you and Dillon with your hands but even Dillon's family think your better with your feet !

    1-1 between him and Lyle

    Okkkk... I see you... 1-1 @karlangrant 👊🏽🙌🏽
  • Just switched on as he took the penalty, cool as Lyle!

Slightly surprised he took the penalty and not Mooy, as I was never that impressed with his penalties for us
  • Guess his performance wasnt helped by the fact that Steve Mounie isnt fully fit after the African Nations Cup
  • Only saw 2nd half, think Grant touched the ball twice

WTF? That’s really weird. Guessing the small minority of Charlton fans who dug him out when he left really got to him

On second watch, saying ‘Charlton staying down’ (instead of going down) and someone in the comments saying ‘Where’s Ezri?’, was that from the start of last season?

No idea why people don't take the time to stop and think before they get so riled up about things.

    1) It makes no sense that a player who's previously been nothing but complimentary about the club, and was reportedly very emotional when he left, would suddenly attack the club on social media for no reason.

    2) That Twitter account is literally called Out of Context Charlton Athletic which suggests that those comments may have been taken out of context.

    3) There are two different responses to the tweet that explain that it's an old clip of him reading out a comment written by someone else.

Is he not just reading a comment someone has sent?

Yes but doesn’t stir up enough drama

Can I be offended and extremely rude about him or not

People wanting to be offended get offended by something labeled "out of context" and years old.

So many people's heads have gone recently. Thunderflashs hurting kids, racist abuse of our own fans, abusing Taylor on twitter and now this massive overreaction to fake news.

Racist abuse of our own fans? Missed that story, sounds grim.
