Unbelievable interview. Sarri says it was a misunderstanding, the goalie didn't have cramp and the goalie was right. No disciplinary action will be taken.

Could you imagine the same with Bows, he would be on the pitch and dragging the keeper off by his knackers, who then would probably fall down all the steps to the dressing room.
Felt sorry for him but don’t lie and defend the situation.
Not sure how relevant it is my minor workplace rather than the Premier League but ALL respect would be lost of Management if that were to happen in my company.
Footballs bonkers sometimes - £71 million pound young man v the Manager in front of millions. Better than Eubank v DeGale though...
Your manager and you have a specialist keeper for Penalities. You get the 4th official to put the board up and you replace the keeper. As a manager you don't change your mind. Chelsea are a shite club who always undermined their managers. Both keepers should have known that barring injuries, what was going to occur near the end of 120 minutes.
Thats the problem being a head coach, Sarri is in such a weak position, he had nothing to do with the transfers and the players don't respect him. Sarri will say its just a misunderstanding.
I like Sarri and hope he gets the chance to see if he can implement his style more effectively with a full close season to train and bring his own players in. But I was very disappointed with that interview. He has undermined his own position. He had the chance to reassert his authority but has actually ended up losing even more of it.
With a manager that has zero credibility with, and respect from, the whole playing squad, Chelsea can make no progress whatsoever until and less the manager is replaced. The longer he stays in place, the worse the situation will get for Chelsea.
So, I hope they take a long time to reach a compensation deal for him and it drags out as long as possible.
And then, once his golden handshake payment has been agreed, signed, the money is in his bank, a replacement is lined up and press releases are sent out... I hope he refuses to leave.

Can't blame him though really.
Fair play to Sarri he could’ve easily thrown Kepa under the bus but he handled it well. The media would’ve had a field day if Sarri said anything differently, so the best action is to down play it in public and then speak/lose his shit to Kepa behind closed doors.
The thing is to me it was clearly the keeper felt fit to continue and the physio must have told Sarri get him off . the right way to go about is go over there as the keeper and tell Sarri I’m ok to continue boss , I’m good , all fine now but that’s what you would do if you had a brain and a bit of savvy but no silly bollox acted like a petulant back and front and turned a misunderstanding in to a bigger issue . i didn’t think I wanted them to lose any more than I did till that incident and was doubly delighted when the mug keeper let agueros chuff penalty in
but still loved Hazards dream penalty , once Sterling smashed his home !!!!
I'm sure he wanted to spark the keeper flat out and then walk out but the thought of whatever pay off he gets stopped him in his tracks.
Was listening to 5 live after the game as I took my daughter gome and a couple of callers confirmed Willy Cabalero was warming up for about 15 mins before the end so surely it was in Sarri's mind to switch them anyway.
Dead man walking. Damned if he loses his shit at Zepa, damned if he didnt.
As I left my post... How can Sarri remain at Chelsea now? - Its now clear the players arent playing for him!!
Modern football is unreal. Players paid £200k a week and decide like stroppy little spoilt brats they won't "play" for managers.
Paid a fortune to do something fans of their temporary employers would do for free and act like that. Hearing phrases like "He's lost the dressing room" etc in recent years...so what you know how to play football you thickos just get out there and do it you nauses.
Sarri-ball is the most pretentious phrase in football. I can’t stand that stupid little notebook thing he does either. His hissy fit was pathetic. Especially given the tone he’s now trying to strike. Chelsea are a poisonous club full of backstabbing players all paid for by a Russian crook. What happened today was embarrassing for them and great entertainment for the rest of us.
To be fair to Kepa the way he was signalling to the bench thats the way I understood it... i.e. He'd been down injured and was telling them he was fine to continue
BUT... at the same time it seemed that Sarri wanted to swap him for Caballero for the penalty shootout with him being the better at saving them
Cant think of any other reason for Sarri to behave the way he did on the touchline (almost walking off etc.) as surely if your No.1 'keeper is fit to continue then you'd surely be happy about it?
“Sarri-ball” only ever gets used by people that have heard others use it and never saw Napoli play I’m sure. Unless he gets the players he wants the system isn’t going to work. There isn’t really any special tactics, it’s all about the team he uses and the work rate.
he also didn’t have a pre season with Chelsea, Conte was still there! I think in terms of instilling a new style we can agree pre season is vital
if Chelsea give him time, I believe he can turn it around. the difference is while clubs like Liverpool give Klopp 6 transfer windows to get his team. Chelsea sack a manager after a year. And if they don’t they’re transfer banned anyway.

Rightly or wrongly, it works for them though.
Chelsea have won everything under Abramovich, a number of league titles, both cups, a Champions league and also the Europa league too.
Meanwhile Klopp hasn't won anything and possibly won't this season either.
The players probably know Abrahmovic better than Sarri does (!) considering Roman's been known to have players out on his yacht in the summer, and Sarri says he's not even spoken to him.
That whole squad needs a clear out but I think the problem really lies with how much value the owner puts on the manager vs the players.

Can't imagine it in any other walk of life.
Effing pampered primadonnas.
