Does he think 'those people at the EFL stood by and allowed me to buy Charlton. I don't like it so it is down to the EFL to buy the club off me. That is the moral thing to do.'
I'm not a fan of those 'reacts to' videos, but I would love to watch if compilation of Lifers reacting to the bit where it was proposed that the EFL could buy the club.
I stared at my phone in confusion, re-read twice then moved on, assuming that I didn't understand what it meant.
Well, we er.. thinking out of the box tried to sell to NASA huh? But that would need Richard Branson's space tourism business to get the customers to the moon, to meet up and still have dancing after the match win or lose - they could do the moonwalk huh!?
But Virgin used to sponsor crystal palace, which wouldn't go down well with our passionate fans, huh?
And that horrible man Simon Jordan from the Jim White station etc huh?
Utter madness, surely this is something the press should be interested in...and the EFL would need to make comment.
Also, if he's willing to sell the football club for £1, then surely they price for the whole thing is the market rate for the land plus £1. Unless he's not playing this with a straight bat. The worst the price build up could be is the land price, plus ex directors loans plus a pound.
He asked the Fans’ Forum what they would think about the EFL being offered to acquire the club. He said they would pass the EFL Fit and Proper Persons test, they understand the monthly losses as they have the financial figures of the club and they have the football know how to run it.
Am I misunderstanding something? He suggested that Roland could sell the football part of the business TO the Football League? How the hell would that work? Or be allowed, considering conflict of interest, etc?
What a load of bollox. Can someone (please) send the minutes to the EFL and ask them for their feedback and ask JW and SJ to discuss on talksport!
How could supposedly intelligent businessmen contemplate that the governing body of a group of football clubs, responsible for rules and enforcing fairness, could possibly buy one of the clubs within its durastiction?
Roland at last feeling the pain of the monthly losses? Injuring his pride more than his pocket I suggest. Just sell at a sensible price and retire somewhere far from SE7.

Is the land worth £62,999,999?
Please all read this thread I resurrected. All the information is in here and I've put in the relevant bit in recent comments. I'm looking for some meaningful thoughts on there. Thank-you.

Bet Gillingham would still be moaning about CAFC Coach's/Rockets nicking their supporters on route...
Duchatelet continues to play the blame game - it is everybody else's fault except his. He is now blaming the EFL for allowing him to buy Charlton, and for not warning him what the consequences would be. Because it is the EFL's fault, he thinks it only right that they take the club off his hands, excluding, of course, the ground and training ground. This man is clearly completely off his trolley and his irrationality makes him dangerous.
Seems to me we now have a very very big problem. Duchatelet has admitted in all but name the fact that he can’t sell the club. We have jested for months and months that we think he’s not right in the head but his wealth and other business acumen has always tempered that assertion. His proposal that he EFL might buy the club confirms that the man has absolutely no clue as to how football is run. He is now at the point where anything as far as Charlton Athletic are concerned is possible. Red warning lights are flashing as far as I’m concerned. I really really hope that Bowyer pulls a promotion out of the bag because next season in league one with a massively less well equipped and talented squad are very much on the cards. I can’t see Lee Bowyer wanting to be part of a downsizing exercise. As of today I think the very future of the club is at stake.
As others have said, RD said the August demonstrations (throwing bags of crisps on the pitch) had put off any potential buyers. LDT said he's still talking to 2 buyers at least fortnightly.
How has he survived in business? These guys normally surround themselves with advisors. The Bonkers Belgium clearly believes he has all the answers. As has been suggested, where is Murray in all this?!

My big issue with last night is no-one is accountable for the lack of backing for Bowyer because there is no CEO and LdT can just say its not his remit, or that he hadn't prepared for that subject - which he did last night.
What is the point of fan consultation when no-one is there to be held to account for decisions? I don't expect Gallen to give us answers on the why not.
I believe LdT is dialling in to Monday's meeting.
It would be awful if the dial-in details were shared on here, so that a large number of Charlton fans could listen in and offer their opinion as to whether Roland should consider reducing his price, selling up and making a swift and permanent exit.
Roland and LDT can both come out with as much waffle as the please. The bottom line is the amount of money Roland is asking for the club. Lower the price to a realistic figure and genuine would be buyers will appear. Keep asking for too much money and you won't sell the club you deluded old scrote .

Me too, I had to keep going back to read it because i couldn't believe that I had read it properly

A couple of points though is he is looking at the route of keeping the ground and letting it back - Got to hope buyers will not go down this route.
I think he is now running out of ideas and the losses are getting to him - Lets just hope he cracks and lowers his asking rice soon.
The graffiti has done more good then you could ever imagine.
