Nice little Charlton sword on that London badge 😉.Dave Rudd said:Lewis Coaches said:A Charlton player scored the first ever goal in a European knock out cup game , whilst playing along side one of his Charlton colleagues.
I know how can that be true, but true it is.
This will be the 1955 game in Switzerland where a London XI beat a Basel XI by 5-0.
The first goal was scored by Eddie Firmani who lined up alongside Billy Kiernan. Three of the goals were scored by Arsenal's Cliff Holton, who went on to play for us in the 1960s.

This isn't true although they're not that far off. Looks like it's 81 goals scored.Addick Addict said:Ross County, who our former player, Richard Chin, plays for, have scored 102 goals so far this season.
Amongst their wins they've had a 14-0, 8-0 and 7-1.

This does include 4 friendlies but all matches were this season (their first game was on 27th June) - 26 games in total:MrOneLung said:

maybe this year?
League: 10 games - 38 goals
Cup: 12 games - 46 goals
Friendlies: 4 games - 18 goals
The other somewhat unusual stat is that, in the League, despite winning all bar one of their matches and drawing the other, they are only on top by goal difference from Hamilton. The two clubs have yet to play each other.

See above as the stat includes those friendlies. The 8-0 and 7-1 wins were against the same side in the League - Queen of the South who have conceded 34 goals in 11 matches of which 15 were at the hands of Ross County. They aren't even in the bottom two either!Chris_from_Sidcup said:

That's definitely a "can we play you every week stat" 😉Addick Addict said:

Ten years ago Leicester City were beating Danish Champions Copenhagen to top their Champions League Group. Tonight they are playing Bromley in League 1.3
