With just 4 games to go in the Championship no team is mathematically guaranteed to be in the division next season.

It is still possible for every side to either get promoted/make the playoffs or get relegated.

Excellent point. In fact, Swansea, Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday are still capable, mathematically, of going up or down.

Crazy that the only teams guaranteed to be in the division aren't in it!  Southampton and Birmingham.

Funnily enough, Lincoln are the only side in League One who can't go up or down. And in League Two, with 4 games to go, any of 8 clubs can still be champions. It's been one of those seasons of mediocrity in the EFL and probably demonstrates quite why so many teams fail to hold their own these days when they get promoted.

Yes I looked at the other divisions after I posted and realised Lincoln are the only side in League One guaranteed to be in it next year.

In League Two the only two are Cheltenham and Gillingham.

is this league games, premier league games or all games ?
    Premier league.

With Sir Alex - 810 games, 114 defeats.
Since Sir Alex - 450 games, 115 defeats.
TBH, the biggest surprise there is that they lost 114 games under SAF. They never lost nearly enough for my liking.
He was there for 21 years (in the PL), so on average that's less than 6 defeats per season.
    Still not enough.

Crystal Palace have conceded the same amount of goals in the last 102 minutes of football as Charlton have conceded in the last 12 games.

6 different clubs could still win the National League South with only one game left.

Since losing 2-1 to Liverpool in the Premier League in April 2003, Charlton are now unbeaten across their 14 league games played on Easter Monday (W11 D3).

If only the Solly red card at the den in the 1st half had been played on the Easter Monday and not the Good/bad Friday we may have held on for the 1 nil win

After the feeding of the 5000, raising Lazarus, walking on water and turning water into wine, the biblical miracles would be too far fetched to include getting anything against them.

West Ham in 17th are closer points-wise to 8th than they are to 18th.

There is a scenario where Coventry could get promoted to the Premier League this season, and Preston get relegated to League One with Coventry having lost more games than Preston.

If Doncaster lose at Notts County on Saturday and Port Vale fail to beat Gillingham the Champions of the fourth tier will have the second lowest points total in the 3 points for a win era (excluding the COVID season).

The only team to ever win the fourth tier with lower than Doncaster's current total of 81 points was Shrewsbury with 79 in 1993/94 (and Shrewsbury only played 42 games, not 46).

Burnley are the first team in English football history to get 100 points and not win their league.

Within top four leagues only I guess? Notts County had over 100 points few years back in National League. Wrexham won league.

    Boys Football Facts Annual (2015)

"The south-east London derby between Charlton Athletic and "that lot" is considered the most one-sided game in the English footballing calender, with The Addicks winning 95% of the fixtures home and away, the remaining 5% have been a no score draw. The "other lot" have been waiting to score in the fixture for 92 years. Charlton in that time have recorded 3,452 clean sheets in the fixture, since 1823.

Charlton supremo, Nathan Jones, is the voice behind the fictional extraterrestrial race of extremely xenophobic mutants, principally portrayed in the British scifi programme Dr Who, the Daleks.

In Bulgaria, Ludogorets have equalled the all-time record (with Skonto Riga and Lincoln Red Imps) of consecutive league titles by winning their 14th in a row.

Since being promoted to the top flight in 2011, they have won the league in every single season.

And in Serbia, Red Star Belgrade have now reached 150 home games unbeaten. Their last defeat was 18 April 2017!!

If they avoid defeat in their final game next weekend, it will be EIGHT full seasons unbeaten at home.
