I hope our game doesn't get heated as Lyle will get a red if it does.
I can see it being a tactic of the Donny players: wind up Lyle until he snaps.
That’s why I like Parker. With his size and presence, feel as if he takes a lot of the oppositions intense focus on Lyle away, leaving Lyle to achieve better scoring opportunities.

Play BeckenSarr up front and the oppo won't dare pick on Lyle for fear if having to deal with The Enforcer afterwards.
Charlton to beat Sunderland in the final of League One
Mansfield to beat Tranmere in the final of League Two
Bold claim to say the promoted sides will be all three teams that finished in the highest positions of their respective Leagues
Edit: Have researched; 2008 is the only year thats ever happened - Ironically it was Doncaster who finished third in League One that year that got promoted
On the bench - Hasnt impressed in this Sunderland system though
Surely if you spent 4m on a striker at this level (which must be more than half the divisions transfer spend combined), you'd build the team and system around him?
Or if not, then you'd at least buy a striker you knew would fit your system.
Sunderland have seemingly done neither, and just hoped for the best.

Think I'd be tempted to try it if Parker is struggling.
Yeah doesnt quite get to it... Oh well he misses the rest of the Play-Offs
Should only be a one-match ban for that red card ... unless he's already been sent off this season in which case add an extra match for each red.
I would say that given how poor Sunderland have been one match may be the rest of their play-offs but as Pompey are just as crap, who knows?
Solly | Taylor | Sarr all got three match bans for their first reds; Solly of course is on a four match ban for being his second red
I thought it was three games for straight red | one game for for two yellows?
It’s only bad fouls which get the 3 match ban, professional fouls get 1 match
Wasn't the Sarr red card classed as a professional foul?
There's no such thing as a "professional foul". That's just media speak.
Denial of clear goalscoring opportunity is the offence - red card, 1 game suspension.
Violent conduct, dangerous play, etc carry the 3 games suuspension.
"Professional foul" was how that kind of challenge was referred to in the late 70s/early 80s in that you were doing the right thing for your team knowing you'd only pick up a yellow for it. The most obvious example of that was Willie Young's challenge on Paul Allen in the 1980 FA Cup final.
Jimmy Hill was a major campaigner in getting the Laws changed to punish the "professional foul" with a red card.

Only Charlton have scored more corners than Portsmouth in L1 this season.
That Maguire fella... He's alright isn't he!
Makes a change from the rest of the commentary which has been an exercise in blowing smoke up Sunderland's/Pompey's/Jackett's freckle.
Deliberate handball, "last man" challenges are punished by a one match ban; dangerous challenges, violent conduct result in a longer rest.

Both Portsmouth and Sunderland were hopeless first half.
