If (IF) we sell out the full away allocation of over 4K this will be our best away support numbers wise since when?
Not including free travel/operation games and those with reduced ticket prices (7k at Fulham in FA Cup etc)
Baring in mind the kick off time and the distance, plus the un-attractive venue, I’m struggling to think of better in the last 20 odd years?!?
It’s what we should be capable of and makes the numbers at Carlisle (2012) and Blackburn (00) seem even more bizarre, not to mention the previous struggles at local games.
Sheffield United in the FA Cup Quarter-Final??
Wasn’t that free travel ?
Those Operation games were cringeworthy. And always saw us lose.

Why "bizarre"?
Neither was the final game of the season so didn't have the "one off" factor and neither game was a guaranteed promotion.
The Blackburn game was on the Bank holiday Monday if I remember rightly and we were only in with a shout then because of the results on the Saturday. We made a last minute decision to go down the pub on the Saturday night.
Carlisle's was only ever an outside chance it would happen that day, but it went our way. We only decided to go up the day before, "just in case".
All you boycotters who only do away games must be in a quandary with the news that all ticket revenue goes into s pot to be shared. Any going to Donny will in effect be lining RDs pocket!!
Looking at the seat map, incredible how few seats there are free, and in most blocks it's single seats only. They'll surely have to open the closed off blocks now.
Interesting that the Lower North is (other than the family stand) probably the area with the most spare seats, people were prepared to pay more for better parts of the ground

Or they couldn't work out how to buy their S/T seat
Doncaster have sold 5,483 tickets for the home game at close of business today, but could only purchase one per ST holder. They go on general sale tomorrow at 9.00am.
Pretty sure if we want more then we'll get them.
Spoke to Donny lad at work earlier. Due to their own problems with their ticket site, they went on general sale last night, instead of this morning. They’re expecting a c.14k crowd.

They need to do it soon as people looking for two or more seats together might give up and not come back to look again.
Still think a thousand when you could secure promotion is relatively poor on a Sat/BH Mon.
Sunday ultimately won’t confirm anything.
I think there was a huge sigh of relief when we got Doncaster away. You said it yourself hotel room £200 For the Saturday night in Sunderland plus the £100 train fare. Of course the cheaper option was a 48 hour coach journey from larkfield with John. So although a Sunday midday ko. You can drive up leaving at 7am Trains £60 No overnighter if you don't want 99% No work on the Sunday. Coach journey now 24hrs instead of 48hrs. Even when looking looking at possible Portsmouth away on a Friday night if that had gone extra time penalties not sure youd get the last train back to London.
My home and away tickets arrived in the post today, well done the ticket office staff
Same here, having been a critic of the ticket office staff/system in the past i can only say that the service has worked superbly all season for me.
If you regularly buy tickets, you will know your way round the site.
If you did as Charlton advised and checked you were all set to purchase, by adding family & friends etc, you shouldn't have had any problems, provided you read and followed the instructions.
The ticketing site could definitely be improved and isn't as easy to navigate as it could be, but it does the job sufficiently.
There are still historic issues with people having more than one a/c etc.
Personally, if I wanted to go to Wembley (assuming we make it), I would make damn sure that all my details were correct and ensure that I followed the instructions.
If everyone does that there should be few issues (other than technical glitches) and it will be far far easier than having to phone up and be on hold indefinitely.
But even if your details were correct on this occasion, the club did make an error by not linking Valley Gold to people's accounts. They have admitted this error, admitted it was at their end and no fault of any fan trying to buy away tickets. It was only corrected when fans who were making sure their details were correct experienced and/or spotted it and emailed/phoned/tweeted the club to let them know.
That's exactly what we did and it got sorted...
I must say, Sharron at Valley Gold has been brilliant this morning. Not a word back from the club whatsoever.
Saying 290 available as of 7.08 this morning. Good luck to those wanting to get the final lot. Be great if we eat up the additional 800 on top if needed

This is totally different.

by dragging up times when our away support was not so good.

Two being bought at 9am today.
Genuinely a bit of man wee just came out.
We qualified to buy ours earlier than you but i suspect tickets were not posted out before Tuesday, given Monday was a bank holiday
