It’s what we should be capable of and makes the numbers at Carlisle (2012) and Blackburn (00) seem even more bizarre, not to mention the previous struggles at local games.
    Why "bizarre"?

Neither was the final game of the season so didn't have the "one off" factor and neither game was a guaranteed promotion.

The Blackburn game was on the Bank holiday Monday if I remember rightly and we were only in with a shout then because of the results on the Saturday. We made a last minute decision to go down the pub on the Saturday night.

Carlisle's was only ever an outside chance it would happen that day, but it went our way. We only decided to go up the day before, "just in case".

    This is totally different.
We weren’t promoted at Blackburn - we were promoted on Easter Saturday by virtue of other results, having failed to win on Good Friday. We did win the title as a result of the draw at Ewood coupled with other results. Most people had expected we would go up on Good Friday.

I think if the train to Carlisle had gone ahead we would have taken quite a few more, but the board wouldn’t take the £25k financial risk because of the fact that the game was unlikely to be decisive.

Doncaster forum saying they've sold 'almost 600' tickets for the game at The Valley.

A lot of them will wait for the outcome of Sunday's game. If they win or it's still close, I think they'll sell most if not all. If we are winning by a decent margin, I think it'll be about 1200 sold (and maybe some of those won't bother to turn up).
  • I'm in the Charlton Athletic queue management.   Random place in the queue will begin in 33 seconds ...!
  • Holy shite.... I'm number 565.  531 people ahead of me.   I might not get my tickets!   18 minute estimated wait time.   Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I was 579 in queue. Inevitably it was sold out by 9.10. ☹️ No tickets for us.
  • I'm only getting Ambulant Disable tickets, then not accepted.

For the game at The Valley, Doncaster are only selling tickets in the three nearest blocks to the West Stand and are currently showing 405 tickets still available.

They have 2,704 tickets still available for the home leg.

More importantly, the three blocks that were not for sale in their East Stand are now clearly marked as being for Away fans only. They were not showing this last night.
Is there anyway to tell how many fans that stand holds in total ?
  • Hopefully we’ll get the extra allocation 😫
  • Got a couple yesterday, for my brother and son. Tried to get one for me today - sold out! Never mind, I have got tickets for the home game.
  • The club has put on an extra coach for fans for the away tie and places can be purchased online and via telephone - 03432081496.

Tickets sold (as of 9am on Thursday, May 9th): 2,569

Home tickets sold (as of 9am on Thursday, May 9th): 19,777

  • Don't panic. Donny will give us the extra 800 tickets.
  • 9.00am update. Tickets available

    North Lower 217
    North Upper 38
    NW Quadrant 16
    Family Enclosure 183
    East 106
    West Lower 101
    West Upper 213

    Tickets currently available 874.

Still no sign of East & West Stand closed blocks opening up for sale.

Not able to purchase away tickets, so I assume they've already been sold

18 seats remain on the coaches.
  • Here's hoping for the additional 800!
